My name is Orquidea and I am a private local guide here in Porto, Portugal, numerous winner of "Best European Destination!" I am Portuguese and have lived here my whole life. I became a tour guide because I love meeting foreigners, showing them my country, giving them an insight to Portuguese history, food and culture with informative and personalized tours. Although Portugal is small, it is very diverse allowing you an incredible opportunity to discover all that it has to offer; excellent architecture, delicious food & wine, exciting festivals, great weather, hospitable people and much more and I am here to help experience all of these! I offer tours throughout northern Portugal (Porto, Douro Valley, Guimaraes, Braga, Viana do Castelo, to name a few) and into the centre by request (Coimbra, Aveiro, Fatima, Obidos, Nazare, Lisbon). Not only will you visit the highlights but you will witness the locals, how they live, what they eat, their customs and how the regions have been shaped to reflect by these.
