On the way to the Douro, I'll give you interesting insights on the region its history, people and businesses. I know this region like the back of my hand. Also, I have created valuable and friendly relationships with the people I work with and with those who I come across everyday. To me, talking about wine, wine-making, wine regions, food and wine pairing, as well as mentioning olive oil and other products this region has to offer is a pure excitement. ·I will pick you up at you place in Porto or nearby, if you are staying in a driving restricted area. ·Then we will go on about two hours drive towards the Douro. ·We will arrive to a boutique winery where we'll carry out a guided visit and a wine and olive oil tasting. ·We will then enjoy an hour long shared boat tour (although a private boat could be a possibility for a different cost, so let me know your preference). ·Next, we'll have lunch either at a mid range, high end or Michelin Star Chef restaurant (your choice!). ·Later, we'll head to one of the oldest Port wine houses for another commented wine tasting. ·Finally, we'll drive back to Porto in a little over an hour and a half. This itinerary could be customized upon request, and I could also drop you off in the Douro or anywhere else, just let me know!
