What a memorable day! From beautiful views of Amarante and the Duoro Valley to interesting facts and stories about what we saw throughout the day, Igor was very knowledgeable about the Duoro Valley and extremely kind. We took the train from Porto to Pinhao, stayed the night, and arranged for Igor to pick us up in the morning. He took us on a one-hour boat trip on the scenic river, part of the World Heritage Site. We then went to Vallado for a wine tour and tasting. Afterwards we went to Pacheca for a food and wine pairing lunch and then a tasting of port. Igor drove us back to Porto, which is a scenic drive. He was charming and knowledgeable about all sites, but especially about wine as he is a certified sommelier. He was the perfect guide. We highly recommend him.
