Porto Private Half Day Tour

Don’t consider the 4 stars as a critique of the guide. I am not sure how this tour could be made better. Antonio is pleasant, interested in pleasing the guest and his car used for transportation was very comfortable. Sometimes it is just difficult to make a tour, especially in 4 hours, of a big city interesting, and that is the reason for the 4 stars. The tour just lacked some depth, some feeling or emotion, and probably was due to trying to show us as much as possible in 4 hours. Personally, I would have preferred less travel, and a day of showing us why he loves the city with fewer stops.

Antonio was the perfect guide to give us a half day overview of Porto. My husband's knee had been bothering him so we had to rely on Antonio's car and limited walking. He managed to guide us to all the highlights of old Porto as well as other interesting neighborhoods and even all the way to the posh Foz neighborhoods by the ocean. We appreciated his amazing historic knowledge but also his quick wit and stories. He told us he also does other trips all over Portugal and parts of Europe so might be a great guide for a multi day tour, too

Antonio was waiting for us as soon as we exited the port. He was very pleasant, explained in detail many things of the beautiful city of Porto as he drove us around. He was not rushing us and taking things at our pace, which worked very well for us. The four of us truly enjoyed our time with Antonio.

Antonio was fabulous. We have done a lot of tours all over the world and he is simply one of best. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge, easy to talk to and created a perfect tour of Porto. Hire him now! He will make your trip extraordinary.

Antonio is definitely a 5 star tour guide! A long time resident of Porto, he was knowledgeable about Porto and Portugal in general. In our half day tour, we hit all the highlights! He was both flexible and gracious and we highly recommend him! He also recommended and made reservations for us at the restaurant Flow, which was truly one of the best meals ever!! We took two 4-hour tours with John and they were wonderful. John was so organized and accommodating. Immensely knowledgeable of the history of beautiful Porto. We highly recommend him.
