Hello, My name is Bruno and I'm a Douro Valley native. I love my homeland and I feel part of the winding river, the green and blue distant mountains and the endless vineyards that overcome the landscapes in Douro. I'm very knowledgeable about all the aspects related to the Douro Valley and its people. My family has a small production of wine and olive oil, and is responsible for the field work of some other small Douro "Quintas" (Vineyard Estates), so I have a deep knowledge and expertise of how things are done in the Port Wine region. I've done everything that there is to do related to the work in the vineyards. With my experience in a 5 star Hotel (Pestana Palácio do Freixo - Oporto) , and as an Head Waiter of a top restaurant, I may assure you that I will receive you well and will take you to the gastronomic experience that you are looking for. I'm a passionate for history, traditions and legends, since I remember myself and I would appreciate very much to share with you the most interesting ones in Douro. I will take you off the tourist informational grid and give you a insiders view of Douro. I have a different approach about the Douro Valley, it's not all about the wine, there's much more tradition, myths, and unrevealed mysteries that you will love to know. Besides my homeland, I have lived in Madrid, Spain for one year, and in the portuguese cities of Porto, Aveiro, Viseu and Lisboa, so if you want a multiple city tour, I'm definitely someone that could guide you. I may also provide transfers between Porto, Lisboa and the Douro Valley in any direction. I may also do Private tours in Spain. I've lived in Madrid for one year, and I've made tours in Spain, in many different areas, like Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Mérida, Salamanca, Segovia, Sevilla, etc. I may also guide you in Spanish Wine regions like "La Rueda" and "La Rioja", etc. Whatever are your plans in Portugal and Spain I may arrange it. I understand that you are unique and I'm always available to customize my services especially for you. I have a Bachelor in Hotel Management - F&B - received at the Hotel and Tourism School of Turismo de Portugal - Douro\Lamego in 2016. I was the Head waiter at an upscale restaurant in Peso da Régua.

Either you would like a comfortable and relaxing quick transfer with a knowledgeable guide or an exploring trip between Porto and Lisbon, I may provide it. The stops I would advise would be Aveiro and Óbidos or Alcobaça and Óbidos. But we may stop in two cities along the way between: Aveiro, Coimbra, Óbidos, Alcobaça, Fátima and Tomar. Aveiro is called the Portuguese Venice because has water channels inside the city. Beautiful fisherman houses in Costa Nova and great fish and shellfish restaurants. Óbidos is a small beautiful medieval village where the Ginja (sour cherry) liquor is made. Alcobaça has the most impressive monastery that it's a world Heritage Site. Inside are also the tombs of Inês de Castro and the D. Pedro I, the characters of the greatest Portuguese love story. Coimbra with its World Heritage Sites, University and Library Fátima, a worldwide famous pilgrimage site Tomar has the Templar Castle that is a beautiful World Heritage Site and the oldest Synagogue in Portugal
This is the itinerary that I would advise: Pick up in your Hotel in Porto Stop in Aveiro which is called the Portuguese Venice, because it has water channels inside the city. 45 minutes boat ride in Aveiro to visit the city Visit to the Costa Nova fishing village with its quaint colourful houses Lunch in a nice fish and shellfish restaurant in Costa Nova Trip and visit to the Medieval village of Óbidos and a tastings of Ginja (sour cherry liquor) Transfer to Lisbon
