My name is Ricardo Manuel and I was born and raised in Porto City. Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside. In this last year 2020 and even in 2021 with a pandemic, work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat Wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living. Then walk with me on this amazing streets as Porto historic center is classified in UNESCO World Heritage since 1996, we will visit the most iconic places inside the old city walls, visit Porto best known tile works like São Bento Train Station, Carmo and Carmelita Church as long as Congregados and Santo Ildefonso tile facade, walk in the medieval narrow streets into the river side, admire Porto magnificent bridges from metal construction works to concrete wide bridges, feel Porto downtown alive with our people, customs and traditions, visit with me the best viewpoints from the city and over the city. Be prepared to walk, amazed and love Porto by what it is, at the end of this trip a Port Wine overlooking the river "Douro" that saw the birth of this magnificent city, PORTO.

Ricardo was absolutely one of our favorite guides of the entire trip! He never disappoints and made our walking tour fun, interesting, and memorable. We visited the beautiful bookstore, train station, and market, and also stopped at a chocolate factory where we enjoyed some Port wine, which was such a great addition to the day. Ricardo brought every stop to life with his knowledge and personality. He was engaging, personable, and made the entire experience feel easy and special. We will definitely tour with him again and highly recommend him!

Ricardo was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgable with Porto history, patient and flexible with our pace (we had our 2 yr old with us), and has a warm demeanor. Really great tour. Ricardo picked up our group of 5 just outside the cruise port gate as promised. His descriptions of the people and places started immediately as he drove us downtown. He gave us a thorough walking tour of Porto and clearly his knowledge of the place is deep. The rain didn’t bother us as we stopped for pastries, chocolate, and the local cocktail. We felt like we had seen and felt the real place. Ricardo was flexible and adaptable and incredibly friendly and professional, and generous with his time. We finished our tour with the local Port wine and he delivered us back to the port with no issues returning to the ship. We would not hesitate to have Ricardo as a guide on a return visit.
