Guide #16975
Fall in love with Krakow with a friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable tour guide! My name is Alicja and I've been guiding tourists for years. I have an official license of a guide and a tour leader granted by the local authorities. I often work with small groups of people having Polish roots so I have a huge experience in genealogy tours and genealogy research. I'm fascinated with the history of former, multicultural Galicia and its inhabitants - Christians, Jews, Lemkos and Germans. I specialise in the Jewish heritage tours - I cooperate with Galicia Jewish Museum and Taube Foundation - and wooden architecture tours. I can help you to organise your day trips to Zakopane, Wieliczka, Auschwitz etc. as well as customised tours to other places of interest. I'm a foodie too so I know the best places to eat out in the area :-) I'd love to show you around my magic city of Krakow! I have a license of a tour guide of Krakow and I'm also a museum guide in the Schindler's Factory and Underground Museum of the Main Market Square. I also took a special course in the Jewish history of the region at the Galicia Jewish Museum. I do not have a license to give tours inside of Wieliczka Salt Mine nor inside of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum (they have their own local guides).

Our Half-Day Krakow Old Town Tour with Alicja helped us appreciate even more what an amazing city Krakow is. It was also a plus that we did our tour with her before we visited Auschwitz as we were able to better understand...
Alicja is an amazing guide. I had a wonderful tour with her walking around Kazimierz and the former Krakow Jewish Ghetto. Alicja also helped me find the street my Great Grandfather grew up on. Her knowledge, thoughtfulness and demeanor were truly incredible. I highly recommend anyone looking for a tour guide in Krakow to go with Alicja.
Alicja is so knowledgeable about this topic, and she did an excellent job educating us on the history of the Jews in Krakow before WWII and throughout the war. We visited all of the key sites in Kazimierz and the Jewish Ghetto, Podgarze. She shared with us both the larger picture of the Jews within Krakow but also key individuals who supported the Jews during the war. It...
