I’m Jordan, originally from Jamaica. My path has taken me from studying in New Jersey to completing a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science back home, and eventually to Japan in 2016 — a move that truly felt like stepping into a new world. I’ve come to appreciate Japan for its safety, convenience, and the deep cultural value placed on doing one’s best, no matter the job. I live in Hachioji with my Japanese wife and our two young children. It’s the perfect balance of modern Tokyo — efficient trains, great food, and rich cultural attractions — and the natural beauty of nearby mountains and rivers where we love to hike and swim whenever we can. I’m fluent in Japanese, which helps me navigate local neighborhoods smoothly and communicate easily with the people and businesses we encounter along the way. Guiding allows me to work in a way that aligns with my passions. I enjoy meeting good people, learning from their experiences, and creating moments that have a positive impact. Over the past two years, I’ve led a variety of tours in Tokyo: hiking routes with tattoo‑friendly hot springs, food tours, cultural walks, and relaxed neighborhood explorations. I have a rather laid-back and calm personality. My goal is simple: to help you have the best experience possible during our time together. I’m always happy to offer tips, suggestions, or help with logistics for the rest of your stay as well.
