Hey! I'm originally from Jamaica and have lived in America and Canada before settling in Tokyo in 2016. My background allows me to offer a unique, multicultural perspective on life in Japan. I’m passionate about music, nature, wellness, family, food, and sports. My ideal day involves exploring the mountains and winding down in a relaxing hot spring, and I love sharing these "tattoo-friendly" hidden gems with my guests! Since 2016, I’ve led tours across Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, and many lesser-known rural areas. Whether it’s a family day at the park or a hike up Mt. Takao, my goal is to be your local friend and show you a side of Japan you wouldn't find on your own. My tours can be customized upon request, please do not hesitate to let me know if you wish to personalize any of my tours. Let’s make some memories! I'm eager to show you a good time in Japan!

Kamakura was once Japan's medieval capital — and an hour from Yokohama by local train, it still feels like a different world. We skip the tour buses and travel via the local train, which is remarkably efficient here in Japan. We visit three places most itineraries miss. Hokokuji's bamboo grove is quiet enough to hear the stalks in the wind — we sit down here for matcha served in the grove itself. Zeniarai Benzaiten is a Shinto shrine built inside a cave, reached through a tunnel carved into the hillside — atmospheric, a little mysterious, and genuinely surprising. We finish at Hasedera, where tiered gardens and a gigantic Buddha statue give way to an open view across the rooftops to Sagami Bay. This will be a relaxed, not rushed tour. I'm here to guide you to a wonderful experience, and share the good vibes I've gotten from this beautiful island.
- Meet at Yokohama Port gate. Brief introduction and transit overview before we head to the station. - Board local train from Yokohama to Kamakura. Scenic coastal ride — approximately 55 minutes. - Arrive Kamakura. Short bus ride to Hokokuji Temple — a working Zen temple with a private bamboo grove. We sit for matcha served inside the grove itself. - Walk to Zeniarai Benzaiten — a Shinto cave shrine hidden in the hillside. Enter through a tunnel, emerge into an incense-filled rock courtyard. - Make our way to Hasedera Temple. Tiered gardens, an eleven-metre gilt Kannon, and a sea view over Sagami Bay. - Lunch break near Hase — local options for ramen, soba, or light bites at your own pace. - Return train from Kamakura to Yokohama. - Arrive in Yokohama. Walk back to port together — comfortably back before 15:00 all-aboard.
