Konnichiwa! I am Gulay, a professional guide with a deep love for photography, art, and discovering the hidden spirit of Tokyo beyond the typical tourist experience. I have been working as a professional guide since 2008, and have received my training at the Department of Tourism Guidance. I moved to Spain for one year (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) and worked as a volunteer and mentor in EVS organizations(European Voluntary Service) But then my interest in Japanese culture led me to my current carrier in Tokyo for 8 years. Guiding is my passion, I believe guiding guests that you never met before from totally different countries is a great chance to know people better to improve your skills. As your guide, I will be pleased to share my experience of guiding with you and will do my best to make your holiday a memorable one. I am here to explain the local culture and traditions and give guests other local insights and I will help you to experience the "WOW" factor :) I also deeply love photography and art, which strongly influences the way I explore Tokyo. I am always searching for beautiful light, hidden details, atmosphere, architecture, everyday moments, and places that emotionally capture the city's spirit. Whether it’s quiet backstreets, modern design, nostalgic neighborhoods, cafés, local life, or contemporary art spaces, I love helping guests experience Tokyo in a more visual and emotional way. And if you want, I am happy to customize your itinerary according to your requests, I can help design your experience based on your interests, such as food, fashion, history, art, pop culture in Japan, or something specific. Ms. Gülay is a very friendly, positive, and knowledgeable guide who knows all about Tokyo. She took two families, including our children, on a two-day tour of Tokyo. We went to Tokyo without any plans, but she helped us with all our planning.
