I am originally from South Korea but have lived in Tokyo for over 15 years. I also spent 16 months in the UK studying English, so I am fluent in Japanese, Korean and English! My favourite hobbies are travelling, exploring tasty restaurants and finding lovely cafes to have coffee. Perhaps I shall be able to share some of these places with you! Since 2018, I have been working as a tour guide for a large tour company in Japan, and now I am delighted to be able to offer you private tours. I have experience of leading both large and small tour groups. I am passionate about my work as a tour guide and love seeing the expression on the faces of my clients when they discover an amazing new place! Having travelled all over the world I know how exciting it can be to visit a new country, but I know it can also be a bit scary especially if you don't speak the language or you are unfamiliar with the country. Let me be your private tour guide and you won't have to worry about getting lost! I am offering private tours of the incredible Tokyo region. The largest city on earth has so much to offer and is truly a city like no other! Tokyo manages to combine the best of traditional Japan while being one of the most modern, unique places you will have visited! Tokyo really is a "city that never sleeps" and these is always something to see or do, be it during the day or the night! I love living in Tokyo and exploring its many cafes, restaurants and boutique shops which nestle amongst the famous historical monuments from the past. I know you will make amazing memories from your time in Tokyo and will want to come back! I am able to customise a tour so that it suits you. For example, I can show you the famous historic sites of Tokyo if that is what you wish to see, or perhaps I could show you around the amazing, vibrant and modern shopping districts that this city has. I can arrange for you to have an unforgettable Rickshaw ride around the historic Asakusa area of Tokyo, an excellent opportunity to take some wonderful photos to remind you of your time in Japan. Would like to experience a traditional Japanese Kintsugi? If so, this can be arranged as well. Maybe you are a foodie like me? If so, I can show you my favourite places in Tokyo! I can guide you to the best Michelin starred restaurant's Tokyo can offer. If you would prefer, I can take you to "hidden gems" of local restaurants that I have discovered while living in Tokyo. I am also able to guide you on a tour anywhere in Japan and can show you the unique culture hidden in this wonderful country. I love meeting new people and am delighted to offer tours to anyone, be it couples, families, small groups or even larger groups. For tours in Tokyo I can travel with you on the ultra-efficient public transport system or taxi if you wish. For day trips outside Tokyo we can use public transport, or I can arrange for a driver and a car, however, this can cost a lot in Japan! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
