Overview of your London tour

Take a journey with me through 1000 years of monarchy and history that has woven the fabric of this small Island. See an Abbey that has stood since our noble line of Royals began. Walk amongst the footsteps of giants who forged our history from this small island I call home. This was the first tour I learned about more than a decade ago when I became a guide and it is my favourite. I love walking into old shops that have served the nobles of the land for centuries and passing through ancient hidden streets that feel like they have come from a period drama. Mixed in with the must-see sites in London this tour is great for those that want to see it all in half a day. For the changing of the guard, I will take you to the best locations to avoid the crowds and experience this must-see event in London. The foot guard change occurs on alternate days in the low season. Please check the dates before booking. The Horseguards change daily. The interiors of Westminster Abbey can be added to the tour if required.

We were visiting London specifically for the Coronation and shared via email with Nicolas our desire to learn more about the history of the monarchy, visit the key royal attractions and other "must see" sites with royal connections, and set the stage for the big event. And boy did he deliver! Nicolas was very knowledgeable and charming. We most appreciated his obvious love of the country and his enthusiasm about the significance of the coronation. Five adults and 4 children ages 9, 10, and 11 had a fabulous morning with Nicholas. He communicated efficiently with us before the tour and was punctual. He directed us smoothly on the underground and through crowds. He knew where to position us for the best viewing and had age appropriate content so that what we saw was more meaningful. His knowledge of British history was thorough. There wasn't a question we asked that he couldn't answer. We felt very lucky to have had him as our guide.

We spent an entire day with Nick touring London, and it was wonderful. He is engaging, easy to talk to, knowledgeable about the history of the area. He can customize the tour for your interests, to make sure you see all the places that are important to you (we particularly enjoyed the rock n' roll sights in addition to all the main attractions). My husband and I really enjoyed our day, and will definitely use Nick again when we return to the London area. Book with Nick, you won't regret it! :)

Your London tour itinerary

Walking tour of Westminster, secrets of the streets behind the corridors of power. We will visit the exteriors of Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, the buildings of Whitehall, 10 Downing Street, Parliament Square, and Big Ben. We will see the Horseguards and watch the famous changing for the guards from the parade grounds Walk through St. James' Park to visit St. James Palace and see the changing of the foot guards and listen to the music of the household division. Then It's off to visit the exterior of Buckingham palace before we take a shortcut into St. James' and the beautiful shops of London's most exclusive shopping district. We will finish the tour in a central location close to all the best spots for lunch. the tour can be customised and modified to suit your requirements and to add or subtract sites. Visits to Westminster Abbey or Buckingham Palace (depending on opening times) can be included in this tour. Westminster Abbey or the War Rooms can be added on at request.
