Private Classic Full Day Tour of Majestic London

Excellent London Tour with Tim! If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and personable guide in London, I highly recommend Tim. He picked my wife and me up right at the Greenwich cruise port after our Viking cruise and gave us a fantastic private tour of London’s major sights. What really made the tour stand out wasn’t just the landmarks—it was Tim’s storytelling. He brought London’s history to life with interesting facts, great humor, and even explained the origins of common phrases like “blowing smoke up your ass” and “laughing your head off.” Those little stories made the day memorable. One unexpected highlight was visiting The George Inn, where we saw Charles Dickens’ original 1838 life insurance application on display. It’s the kind of hidden gem we never would have found on our own. Tim also recommended ending the day at The Mayflower Pub, where the Mayflower was moored before sailing to the Americas in 1620—a perfect way to wrap up our British Isles adventure. We only had one day in London before flying home, and Tim made sure we made the most of every minute. He was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about sharing his city. Very knowledgeable. Cab was very clean and he provided water & candy to snack on. Has many good recommendations for lunch. He also will cater to what you want to see, but also will give recommendations on how to see these attractions more comfortably ( Changing of the Guard). We will recommend him to all of our friends and family visiting London and will book again the next time we are in town. He also takes many photographs of your group and the attractions. At the end he will provide all pictures and a slide show for you. (No charge).

Our second day with Tim was every bit as impressive as the first. Since we only had three days in London, we wanted to make the most of our time, and Tim created a tour that gave us a fantastic overview of the city’s oldest and most historic areas. We explored Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels, sections of the Roman Wall, historic execution sites, London’s oldest church, Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and countless interesting places and stories we never would have discovered on our own. Tim is warm, engaging, and remarkably knowledgeable. Rather than simply pointing out buildings, he tells the stories behind them, making centuries of history come alive. His experience as a licensed London black cab driver is a tremendous advantage, allowing him to get around the city efficiently and stop in locations that other guides simply can’t access. Throughout the tour, he also took photos of us at many of the highlights and later sent them to us, which was such a thoughtful touch and gave us lasting memories of an incredible day exploring London. If you’re visiting London for the first time and want to see the highlights while truly understanding the city’s history, we can’t recommend Tim highly enough. His planning, knowledge, storytelling, and personal attention made these two days one of the highlights of our trip.

As a licensed London black cab guide, he can navigate traffic and park in places that other tour vehicles simply can’t, giving you more time exploring and less time walking or sitting in traffic—a huge advantage. Throughout the day, he also took photos of us at many of the sights and later sent them to us, giving us wonderful memories of an unforgettable day. Whether you’ve been to London before, or this is your first time there, you will learn more about London and its incredible history than a college course. Tim is brilliant, very funny, SO KIND and made our tour beyond memorable. We covered more iconic spots and extra ones than we could have ever planned for on our own.
