Hello & welcome to glorious England ! My name is Nick and for most of my adult life I have been a wondering, wandering academic full of wanderlust. I'm passionate about travel, very fond of meeting fellow travellers, photography, driving to new places, learning on the way & returning to old favourites with new eyes. Having lived in many different countries & worked aboard cruise ships in shore excursions they are still a few I have yet to visit and believe there is still much to discover. Although I was born in, and my ancestors & progeny hail from, England I have spent many years in British Columbia, Canada. I no longer have a British accent, which is a pity, but at least we will speak the same language ! England is the quintessential land to visit & to be a guide in as there's such a layered history & many diverse places to tour. From prehistoric monumental megaliths, Roman baths, Anglo-Saxon forts, Norman castles, medieval cathedrals, Tudor palaces, Georgian county houses, picturesque seaside villages, vibrant modern cities & the colourful characters who have lived here it could take a lifetime to see it all. When I travel to a new country I find that my time is limited & that often a private excursion is the best way to make use of it. I do not wish to be herded onto a big crowded tour bus waiting for strangers. One wants to travel with chosen companions, start at the location and time you desire, see only those place you are keen to see, have your own questions answered & at your own schedule and pace. All of my private shore excursions & tours include all of these features & can be further customised to suit you and your entourage. They also include private transport in a roomy luxury vehicle which is perfect for touring. Framlingham College, Simon Fraser University, University of Ottawa, BSS., University of Alberta School of Law, Reading law. Member of English Heritage, the National Trust, & Historic Royal Palaces. TFL licensed private hire driver~guide, with comprehensive public carriage liability insurance & DBS. I am not a Blue Badge guide so will not be able to guide you inside some monuments in London. Often I will escort you inside & give you the essential information before entering.

Stonehenge & Bath are in the Cotswolds surrounded beautiful countryside. You can also choose instead to spend the day seeing several pretty Cotswolds villages. In Bath you can explore the honey-coloured architecture of this most elegant & grand Georgian city. You will see the Circus & Royal Crescent in the setting that inspired the writers Austen, Dickens, Shelley & Doyle & where 'Bridgeton' is filmed. You can also go into & can examine the finest Roman Baths & temple which the Britannic inhabitants also enjoyed. Bring your bathing suit & relax in the mineral waters of the Thermae spa ! Stonehenge is the most epic & iconic destination an inquisitive traveller can experience when on Earth. It's somewhere I always relish returning to as I feel a strong affinity to the monumental monument. One is left with an appreciation of the lay of the land as well as for early human determination to live off it , to honour their ancestors & leave their mark.
