A Very Warm Hello! My name is Rosalind and I'd love to help you create some special memories of London. Having chosen to live here for over 30 years post University, I want to share my contagious enthusiasm for this amazing city with you. Whether you are interested in the 'big sights' or getting deeper under the skin, come with me to learn and be entertained and to go home with more than just photos. My tours are all on foot , but at times when it makes sense we jump on a bus or take a river boat. Walking is the best way to soak up the vibes of this city and you get to see so much more. I'd love to tell you of all my incredible experiences of watching the Queen's funeral from the front row on The Mall, waving at The King on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after his coronation or shaking Princess Diana's hand. I'd also love to share my knowledge of the history of London but don't worry ! I won't bore you with endless dry facts that you can read in a book. I will bring 2000 years of history to life through what we see and the stories I tell. As a mother of 3, I am very comfortable with family groups along with adult groups, couples or indeed individuals. We will go at your own pace, stop for refreshments if necessary and everyone will get involved. There is of course plenty of time for questions and chat and to hear first-hand about life for a Londonner. Honestly, I never bore of revealing London's secrets. Overview of your London tour
This walk will take you off-the-beaten track to tucked away quiet spots within this busy part of town. We will head to secret gardens which have bloomed out of burial grounds and bomb sites, and hunt out some of the delightful churches that tell us so much of the history of London. Along the way we will have a chance to hear about some iconic buildings. If we have time and opening hours permit, we can sneak up to a roof garden to enjoy a bird's eye view. We can visit inside some churches too according to their individual opening hours. The Square Mile is the nick-name for The City of London - an area of greater London that has 2000 years of history and is best known as the financial heart of this capital. This walk can be customised.

I will collect you from your hotel / apartment or meet you at an arranged point. The itinerary will include : St. Dunstan-in-the-East - possibly the most picturesque site of all St. Mary-at-Hill - on a cobbled medieval street The Walkie-Talkie Building The garden on the site of former Roman Baths Postman's Park - with its moving memorial to unsung heroes The remains of a church which has now been rebuilt in Missouri, USA! The ruins of Greyfriars Church The courtyard of St. Vedast Alias Foster - a hidden gem We can stop for a drink or snack as we go along , and we can finish with me either escorting you back to your hotel / apartment or helping you hail a taxi or jump on a tube to get to your next destination.
