Rock around London

Rachel is as knowledgeable about London’s music scene as you could ever hope for! She was also so good with our two kids, holding my four-year-old’s hand as we walked across the street and was very accommodating for us considering we had a five month old with us as well. She brought us to landmarks commemorating everyone from the Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, and The Who to Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Adele. The top moment was visiting Jimmy Page’s infamous Tower House… a beautiful 19th century castle-like structure… And we were lucky enough to see Jimmy walking back home! He was very on-brand… Smiling and waving, but politely asking for no pictures-understandable considering it’s right in front of his home. None of that lucky circumstance would have happened had Rachel not been so prompt and on time picking us up. I would highly recommend her and ToursByLocals during your stay in London!

We Rocked Around London with Rachel, from Tours by locals. While great music played we enjoyed the sights of London and all kinds of history. She had photos from the past at the locations we were visiting. We walked historically significant areas and saw history in the alley ways and in the buildings; that included recording studios and of course Abbey Road studios. We walked historically significant crossing at Abbey Road and she was in the street with my camera and captured us walking the crosswalk with her Black Cab strategically placed for the replica photo! She know her way around London and is a music lover and that led us to a record store where we were able to do some crate digging for vinyl! While walking we stopped at Liberty for a little tour Of the historic building and a little shopping. Rachel knows London and Loves music and will show you the Rock and Roll history of London. I didn’t remember that Mama Cass Died in London, she had her picture and we stopped by the apartment. It’s a true Rock and Roll tour! Thanks Rachel!

Rachel is one of the most knowledgeable and personable guides my wife and I had while in London. She knows her rock history as well as anyone. A nice touch is the music she played while in her car, based on our music preferences. The Abbey Road stop was a lot of fun, including Rachel taking our picture while crossing the street (like the Beatles album). I feel I have a better appreciation of UK music in general after spending time with Rachel. This tour also helped in understanding the close ties between London and the rock musician.

We absolutely loved our day with Rachel! She knows everything about the history of Rock & Roll in London and beyond! She was so fun and cared a lot about my wife and I having a great experience! She also knows the town backwards and forwards and had so much great information about London! Her sense of humor and kindness define who she is. I would give her hundreds of stars if I could!

Rachel, Rachel,Rachel! I can't say enough good things about Rachel's attention to detail, and true consideration for our happiness and impromptu requests during the tour. The Abbey Road shop was great. Rachel took our picture at the famous crosswalk, and even made sure we signed the wall. We saw Paul McCartney's home, and passed by where Jimi Hendrix spent his last days. We also were able to learn some history about London, and pass by iconic sites. Fantastic day all the way around. We had the best time on Rachel's rock tour. Rachel knew all the cool spots to take us to and was very engaging. Not only did we get a sense of all things rock and roll in London we also learned so many rich details about the city. Rachel is a terrific driver and a fantastic guide. We will book again if we return!
