Hi, I'm Steve and I would love to show you the sights and sites of London! I'm qualified to guide in all areas of Westminster and the City of London. I believe I have developed some exciting, absorbing and fun walking tours that you will really enjoy. I've worked and walked in London on and off for over 30 years and I'm just as passionate about the city now as I was when I started exploring all those years ago. I love meeting new people from all over the world and helping to make their time in London really memorable. My walks cover seeing the famous highlights such as Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral and Trafalgar Square but also explore areas such as the Theatreland, Covent Garden and Soho. I love showing people some of the more quirky things hidden on the streets and I 'm happy to customise my walks if you have particular interests. I also have a pub walk which features a stroll along the majestic River Thames, some of the best views in London and visits to pubs to sample their wares. My interests are sport, science and food and drink so I love to use these as themes for walks. For example, I have guided groups of school students telling them stories of the many famous scientists who have lived in London and their discoveries. Hopefully this will have given them an enthusiasm for science and an understanding of the subject outside the classroom. I am happy to put together tailored itineraries for half or full day tours in most parts of London - please let me know what you are interested to see or which areas you would like to explore. I love having children in my groups and can usually find plenty of things to interest them. My walks are also suitable for wheelchair users. Member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association. I am not a driver guide My qualifications do not allow me to guide inside Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral or the Tower of London

'When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life' said Samuel Johnson. Well, if you think you know London and have seen all the big sights let me show you the stranger side of the capital. A great tour for frequent visitors to London or locals who think they already know it well. We'll zig zag around, stopping at some things you would normally walk right past. Steps that lead nowhere, a lamp fed by an unusual sustainable bio fuel, a door that might fool some people and the sign for a very bizarrely named alley. Let's scratch our heads about old Imperial measurements and smile at the somewhat idiosyncratic pedestrian crossing lights. Certainly plenty to smile and wonder about!
Explore the area seeing - amongst many other oddities:- - a romantic recording, a cabman's shelter, an eponymous pub, the remains of a Turkish bath and a pub of two halves! - an uplifting sanitary experience and some steps to nowhere - the site where an iconic music video was filmed - a device that you have seen hundreds of times before but not realised it and a lamp with an unconventional fuel source - a street where something is the wrong way round, an oddly named alley and a building with a map of itself on its wall - statues 'improved' by the Victorians, the centre of London, a standard reference plaque and a mysterious sometime empty plinth - a statue on foreign soil, the Actors' Church and one of the oldest squares in England where Punch and Judy shows were first recorded - we end up in the roof top bar of one of the most impressive theatres in London!
