I am a friendly and experienced Blue Badge Guide. I own a V Class Mercedes and can take groups of up to four people. I am a Blue Badge Guide, and I have spent eighteen years working as a guide in London and England. I have a history degree, and an MA (London Studies). I have also spent five years working as a tour director, travelling with groups throughout Western Europe, and I have spent eight years teaching teenagers history in a secondary school in London. I feel very fortunate to be able to work as a guide in London and England. I am confident my sense of humour, enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure you enjoy the time we spend together. A full day in London without a car is a much more affordable way for groups to explore the most important parts of Central London, and to see all of the most popular sites. Instead of driving, we can use London's excellent public transport system. This will allow us to have a more active day, and to avoid any traffic in Central London. I will be able to provide you with an excellent introduction to this great city. I can also make suggestions about how you can organize the rest of your time in London, and offer advice about what you should try to include. Tours can be as relaxed or as informative as you would like.
We will be able to discuss this on the day. If you do not have any have specific ideas about what you would like to see, I can make suggestions. Typically we would explore the City of Westminster, the City of London and West London. This would include: • Buckingham Palace • The Changing of the Guard (not everyday) • The Houses of Parliament • Westminster Abbey • The London Eye • St Paul's Cathedral • London Bridge • The Tower of London • Tower Bridge • The Millenium Bridge • The Globe Theatre • The Tate Modern. We could also include some of the following: Harrods, Abbey Road, Kensington Palace, markets (Saturday mornings), Apsley House and The British Museum.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
