2026 Sadly I had an aneurysm in June 2025 and was in hospital for 4 months, I am getting my fitness back but some rides are not offered this year. Please contact me before booking. Hi there, fancy a day out from busy Central London? Enjoy cycling? Why not join me and see real parts of outer London on our bikes! I do also run walking tours in Central London as I know it well, it has been my city all my life. I was lucky enough to be born in a glorious area of South West London and apart from travelling to see the world I've always returned. I love meeting new people and showing them my favourite local places by what I feel is the best mode of travel. . . a bike. This historic area has old Royal hunting grounds containing deer, world famous places like Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, Windsor Castle* and stately homes along the River Thames. It is only 20 minutes from Central London by train and a peaceful place to visit or base yourself whilst in London. I have been granted a license to run my bike tours in Richmond Park, the largest Royal Park in London and Bushy Park which is next to Hampton Court Palace. Both of these parks have wild deer living here for us to see on a bike tour. Enjoy the beautiful river route to Hampton Court Palace the 16th Century home of the royals which you can visit after your tour if you wish. So get in touch and experience a bike tour on your next trip to London. *Not available 2026 One of my ride involves beer tasting, sampling 6 famous Fullers Brewery beers in the brewery town whilst cycling the River Thames. Or cycle in Windsor Great Park a 20 km2 old royal hunting ground 2 km from Windsor town. Take a taxi to the meeting location and start as this road is busy and uphill. Full day tours I offer a very British experience with a traditional afternoon tea picnic in the summer, enjoy a hot pot of tea and homemade cakes set up in fantastic locations. A half day River Thames bike tour to Hampton Court Palace once home of King Henry VIII
Overview of your London tour
The River Thames cycle ride to Hampton Court Palace from Richmond is a stunning way to arrive at this 16th Century royal palace, so much better than by train! The stunning palace was once home to King Henry VIII and his many wives and you may have seen it on the Netflix Series Bridgerton as it was used as one of the filming locations. The path we cycle along is a favourite with the locals including my family and friends and is a relaxing day out from the busy city centre. Pass historic houses and riverside pubs and the first lock on the river between tidal and non tidal Thames, where flooding can happen. Feel like you are in the countryside rather than between Zone 4 and 6 of London, even passing a meadow with cows in the summer. A coffee or beer stop at a local pub and an 800 year old market place for lunch snacks to be enjoyed at a glorious fountain view of Hampton Court Palace. Leave the bikes + visit the palace (entrance not included), or add an extra Royal Park ride + then return by train

The Richmond to Hampton Court along the Thames was a perfect choice! The small private tour allowed us flexibility to customize our stops and take plenty of pictures! Ginette was a wonderful guide on the ride, pointing out historical landmarks as well as film spots and wildlife, which made the trip even more memorable. She is very knowledgeable about the area and the transportation options back to Richmond from Hampton Court. The bikes were good quality and well maintained. It was a highlight of our week.

Ginette was super easy to work with, and communicated very well. she kept us updated with possible weather and commuting barriers. Our bikes were ready on time, and she also made sure we were always safe. We had to bike in windy/slightly wet weather , and she was just as game as we were! She was ready with information and tools to fix minor mechanical bike issues. Our 2 teen sons really enjoyed it as well.

We had a wonderful ride with Ginette through the countryside in late June with 11 family members. She was so responsive to all of my questions prior to the ride that I knew we would have a great day. The bikes were in excellent condition and everyone was properly outfitted with the right size. The pathways were easy to navigate and she provided wonderful commentary of all of the sites. • 10am Meet Richmond Train Station for bike set up • 1. 5 hour cycle along the beautiful River Thames route • Stop to enjoy a riverside drink and toilet stop if you wish • Visit a old market place to buy your picnic lunch • Cycle through an old hunting ground to our picnic lunch location with beautiful views of the palace • We'll enjoy a final River Thames cycle to the palace • 1. 30pm Arrive at Hampton Court Palace for your visit (if you wish) or add an extra Royal Park cycle then you return by train to London on your own, we take the bikes away! This tour as a whole or partially, can be customized to fit your preferences - please inquire!
