Hi everyone. I've been a professional tour guide (called Blue Badge Guide in London) for 30 years, so I know the city and its surroundings very well. If you enjoy art, history, architecture, religion and culture then I'm your man and I enjoy talking about other subjects too such as politics and movies and tv. Not much about sports though. On tours, we normally visit Westminster Abbey (burial place of the famous) or the Churchill War Rooms but if you'd rather do walking tours or visit the museums, the British museum being my specialty as I love ancient history or even just go shopping and have afternoon tea somewhere special then it's fine with me. I'm flexible. I'm there to make your time in London enjoyable and memorable. We can have a break coffee stops whenever you wish. There's no hurry even if we spend a little longer together . But I like to do detail and not rush so I only do two venues a day. There's plenty of history in London but my special subjects are Henry 8th and the Tudors, ancient history & early church history. Don't forget nearly all our museums are free. Almost everywhere I go free so there is no need to pay my entrance. Getting around by car in London is difficult because of parking and traffic. The underground, bus or taxi is preferable and walking is unavoidable in busy cities, but the amount of walking is up to you. Looking forward to meeting you. Qualified blue badge. I do not have a car and only use local transport

You don't need to go far to get an idea of the countryside. Just go downriver to Greenwich. We'll travel by tube to the Borough of Greenwich. It's like you're entering another century and you'll feel that you've left London and arrived in a small town. It's such a refreshing place. In Greenwich, we'll walk on the meridian line, and visit the Cutty Sark (the best-preserved timber ship in the UK). Then we will see the Queen's House, originally a palace where you can see the Armada portrait of Elizabeth 1. We'll then go by monorail to Canary Wharf, London's banking city, and finally return by the Elizabeth line, London's newest underground line (opening in 2022), or the jubilee line
Lovely Greenwich town Visit the Royal naval college and its magnificent ceiling Visit the 17thc Greenwich palace See The Cutty Sark (from outside or interior visit) Use the Monorail to Canary wharf Finally the Tube back to Central London
