Join your Blue Badge guide at the pier of your choice (Westminster, Embankment or Tower) for a Thames river boat ride to maritime Greenwich, palace of kings, home of Queens and the Royal Observatory. We'll visit the famous Cutty Sark tea clipper, the glorious Painted Hall and neo-classic Wren buildings that have featured in over 50 movies. Lunch at riverside pub the Trafalgar Tavern, (as frequented by Charles Dickens) before exploring the Maritime museum and the Queen's house with its famous Tulip Staircase and ghost. We'll head up through the park to the Royal Observatory for world class views - and a chance to straddle the meridian - a foot in each hemisphere. We head back into charming Greenwich town to visit the covered market (and/or antiques market on a weekend) allowing time to shop, before taking the tube through the futuristic glass and steel of the new London Docklands.
