Beannachdan bho Alba !! (greetings from Scotland) Thank you very much for checking out my profile. I belong to Inverness, which is regarded as the capital of the Scottish Highlands, and with the exception of a period of College Studies in Edinburgh, I've lived around the North & West Highlands all of my life, including time in the Orkney Islands. I spent 30 years serving communities around the Scottish Highlands as a Police Officer, and through this, achieved advanced driving standards & an excellent knowledge of Highlands Roads. I commenced my Professional Driving Services in 2017, shortly after retirement from the Police Service, and work hard to provide a good standard of transportation, plus maintain a smart appearance to ensure my customers receive an excellent standard of service. My default Vehicle is a Recent Top End Luxury Van Style People Carrier which gives an elevated, excellent view as the tour progresses. I provide only private services to the person or group making the booking, and though I provide fixed tours on various themes & locations, these can be customized to suit particular needs. I take a relaxed, laid back & flexible approach to itineraries, and within any given route, I can effect requested changes even at short notice. I have particular experience with Scotch Whisky Tours covering all areas in Scotland, including Speyside & North Highland, plus am always happy to make any extra desired arrangements that may otherwise fall out of the scope of any suggested itineraries. I also have considerable experience (since 2017) in the provision of Shore Excursions for those visiting Cruise Ports at Invergordon & Ullapool, plus cross check every Shore Excursion booking with Port information where I'm able to monitor ship arrival & departure times to ensure a seamless, worry free day for those guests. I have several hobbies although predominantly I enjoy performing music, including Scottish Traditional Music. I'm very proud of the Scottish Highlands and am passionate about delivering a great experience to all those utilizing my service. Regardless of whom you decide to go around with, make sure you have a fabulous time in the fantastic Scottish Highlands! 7 years of experience in the tours and transportation industry. This includes considerable experience in the provision of Cruise Ship Shore Excursions (being a regular cruiser myself fully understand the special requirements of the logistics and flexibility required by such tours). Also, having served for 30 years as a Highlands Police Officer, I bring to this role: 1. Excellent driving skills. 2. Good people skills. 3. Excellent knowledge of Highlands Roads. I am not a licensed guide but I am permitted to guide you on Culloden Battlefield, Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle , Wardlaw Mausoleum , Inverness Old High Church, Dunrobin Castle and many other locations.

The Outlander TV Series (based on Diane Gabaldons novels) has become a Worldwide Hit and, whilst a work of fiction, many of the Highlands locations do exist and much of the described local history is portrayed accurately. This tour seeks to take you to some of the places highlighted in the series' first season. Among the locations we'll be visiting is the actual location of Culloden Battlefield and the Burial Site of the Beaufort Frasers. In addition to this, you'll also have the opportunity to sample some fine Scotch Whisky! Besides, there are good food options to cater for all tastes throughout the route and I'll be glad to help you arranging for this day if you so wish, just inform me of your preferences and any dietary restriction. This tour includes a 15 minute walk on pathways which can be uneven so reasonable robust footwear and depending on weather on the day, warm/water proof jacket are suggested.
•After a pick-up from your lodging or preferred spot in or around Inverness, we'll head to Culloden Battlefield for our first stop. •Once there, we'll walk out to the War Graves area & to the Leanach Traditional Thatched Cottage. •After that (and a possible short break if needed) we'll briefly drive to the Clava Cairns Ancient Stone Circles, thought to have inspired Diane Gabaldon's Outlander novels. •Then it's off to Loch Ness for a scenic drive along the Loch •Option to visit ruinous Urquhart Castle •Afterwards, we'll take a scenic drive across Culnakirk Hill to Kirkhill for a stop at Wardlaw Mausoleum, burial place of the "Old Fox" Simon Fraser. . . or was it? •OPTION Next, we could make a stop for lunch. • Next it's a stop in Beauly Village and a stroll around Beauly Priory •OPTIONAL - For those who want to partake we'll finish the day with a stop at Glenord Distillery where you could partake in an (optional) Whisky tasting. •At last, we'll drive back to where we started.
