Glasgow and I have a lot in common - just like the city, I'm forever inspired by the people I meet and I don't take myself too seriously! I may not have been born in Glasgow, but after 10 years here it certainly feels like home. I graduated from Glasgow University with an MA in History and English Language. I love history because it is everywhere - in our landscapes, our architecture, our culture. To understand history is to understand ourselves! Scotland is a beautiful country, but with so much to explore, Glasgow can sometimes be overlooked. It's my job to show you exactly why it shouldn't be! Whether you're looking for a long wander through the city or lots of stops to our local museums, breweries, and eateries, I'd love to show you around. Looking after our planet is something that's really important to me. If you're interested, I'd love to make our time together as sustainable as it can be - without missing out on any of the fun, of course! I am not a licensed guide and cannot guide you once inside historical buildings (e.g. Glasgow Cathedral have their own guides). I cannot offer pick-up/drop off via car, but am happy to recommend public transport or arrange a taxi service.

Join me for a walk around Glasgow's wonderful West End, a part of the city famed for its beautiful architecture, green spaces, museums and more. In this part of town, we can visit Glasgow University's "new" campus (begun around 1870!), the gorgeous Botanical Gardens, and the renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. There are plenty of places to stop along the way to enjoy a coffee, ice cream, or pint in a local pub. This tour takes around 4 hours, but can be longer if you'd like. It's fully customizable, so we can plan for lots more time at museums or extra stops at local eateries - whatever works for you!
The tour can be fully adapted to suit your needs and interests, but usually, it looks like this: 9. 30am - meet at your hotel, and head to the West End (on the Glasgow Subway!) 10am - arrive in the West End at Byres Road, the main shopping street in this part of town 10. 15am - explore the beautiful Botanic Gardens 11. 30am - stop for coffee and cake at a local café* 12 midday - visit Glasgow University 12. 30pm - walk to Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, where I'll show you my favourite exhibits! 1. 30pm - I can leave you to explore more of the Museum, or help you towards a local lunch spot or back to your hotel. *Anything you'd like to eat or drink on our break is not included in the price of the tour.
