Discovering the Renaissance creation of the Habsburg Dynasty King Philip II. On the time of the Hispanic Empire Philip the Second decided to fulfill the willing of his father the Emperor Charles V, and commissioned to build this complex which involves not only a Monastery but also a Palace, a Catholic School, a Church, beautiful gardens, a Royal Pantheon and the most important Library of the XVI century. Most acclaimed and well-known artists in Europe to decorated and beautify this historical building that has been preserved perfectly throughout the centuries. 150 years later, Felipe V, Borbon Dinasty, commisioned the construction of a retirement Palace and dedicate its galleries to decorate with magnificent painting and sculpture masterpieces. Great fountains decorate its remarkable gardens at the botton of the Mountains closed to Segovia.

-Depart from Madrid in a private car -45 minutes roadway will lead us to San Lorenzo de El Escorial -Visit the Monastery and surroundings (approx. 2hrs) -Depart to La Granja de San Ildefonso Royal Site (40 min) Time for a lunch break -Visit Royal Site and Royal Gardens (approx. 2hr) -Back to Madrid.
