Montserrat and Manresa in one morning with a private guide
Overview of your Barcelona tour
In 2022 we celebrated 500 years of the conversion of Ignatius of Loyola and his arrival to Montserrat and Manresa, the place where He spent almost a year meditating and taking notes for the "Spiritual Exercises" the founding text of the Jesuit religious order founded in 1540. We will visit the Cave of Ignatius in Manresa, a special place overlooking the Cardener river and Montserrat mountain, where Ignatius retreated alone in penitence to pray and write. We will also visit Montserrat, an amazing mountain that houses a Benedictine Abbey founded in 1025 and the Sanctuary of our Lady of Montserrat. We will explore the Abbey of Montserrat and will venerate the miraculous black Madonna of Montserrat. The highlight of our visit will be the Boy's Choir performance in the Basilica of the Abbey. In case you have a group larger than 5 people I can design a tailor made excursion with a bus. ***Boy's choir performance only Monday through Friday at 1, 00pm *** ***Cave of Ignatius closes on Sunday***
