Cava Winery (Spanish Champagne) with a private guide
Overview of your Barcelona tour
To understand the process of the Cava (Spanish Champagne) we will go to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, so-called "the capital of the Cava" There are huge companies that produce cava, but this is not the kind of visit that I want to offer you. Our tour will be in a small and familiar cellar, founded in 1924. They still produce their cava in handmade process and visits are limited to a maximum of 12 people. We will understand the aging process of the "Cava"; will see how, manually, they disgorge the bottles (only experienced professionals are able to do that); and visit the Pupitres (special racks) where they do the manual riddling. Finally you will taste 3 long-aged brut nature cavas. If you want we can extend the tour and have a typical Catalan lunch in Sant Sadurní
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
Wineries at Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Region of Alt Penedes). It is an hour driving time away from Barcelona. The price is calculated considering my private car as a transport (max. capacity 4 adult + 2 children + me). But I can offer other kind of vehicles. DRESS: a small jacket even in summer will be helpful in the cellar (the whole year 17ºC - 62ºF).

Note: The vehicle is offered free of charge in order to allow us to get to the places of the tour. If you prefer a Chauffeured Mercedes Sedan or van (capacity up to 7 adults + me + 1 driver), please let me know and I'll create a customized tour for you. A minibus is necessary if you are more than 7 travelers.
