This is a day tour that will bring you to discover Costa Brava, the most beautiful coastal area of Catatalonia. The Costa Brava, located in the province of Girona is well-known for the many picturesque towns and typical fishing villages dotted along the rocky coast. Costa Brava has attracted the artistic and cultural community for many years. Its natural beauty has given inspiration to famous artists such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso. This tour include a visit to the Marimurtra botanical gardens from where you will have privileged views of the blue mediterranean sea, and the rocky coast. After this pleasant walk we will head to Tossa de Mar where you will have free time for lunch. I can book a local restaurant for you. After lunch we'll visit Tossa de Mar, an ancient fishermen's village and the only remaining fortified medieval town on the Catalan coast.
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
-Pick up in Barcelona and about one and a half hour drive on a AC Minivan -We will arrive to Blanes, located in the heart of Costa Brava. -We will start the day visiting St. Joan castle, from where you will enjoy unique views: the beautiful mediterranean sea, breathtaking cliffs hanging over the sea and small hidden coves. -After that we will visit the Marimurtra botanical gardens, built on an area of great natural beauty that you never imagined finding here. Fragances of pine trees, rosemary, lavander and thyme will follow us along the way. -We will continue to Tossa de Mar where you will have free time for lunch. I can book a local restaurant for you. -After lunch we will visit Tossa de Mar, an ancient fishermen's village with an important historical background. -We will walk around the emblematic Vila Vella or old town, the sole remaining fortified medieval town on the Catalan coast dating from 13th century, with its impressive city walls and defensive towers.
