We will take you to a small village that is said to be inhabited by witches, actually, all the women born in the village are said to be witches! It could be one of the few sites in the mountains where they hid from the inquisition, but I personally know quite a few! The site is believed to be one of the most picturesque in Spain as well. We will start our visit with a brunch-degustation of home-made cheeses and some local products in a cosy atmosphere of an ancient watermill, more than 500 years of history! The brunch is followed by a visit around the house and a mill work demonstration. We will get to know the life of millers centuries ago and nowadays. That is a magic place where the history can be felt, seen and even touched. The visit is complemented by a walk in the magic wood, of some 10 minutes, towards the waterfall of wishes. Yes, prepare your wishes beforehand! And finished in a very local restaurant for a meal.
Maria and her associate took us to a picturesque village where we met a man who operates an old fashioned mill that has been in his family for hundreds of years. We sampled local cheeses and breads that were very tasty and then walked to a waterfall. We also had a delightful lunch. Maria was friendly and informative. Truly a highlight experience.
This is by far the most extremely local experience we have had in Barcelona. WE have been there numerous times. Maria found the perfect local experience at a local small farm. The food and experience were fabulous. Thank you Maria for providing us with an absolutely perfect day. Best cheesecake I have ever had!
-We will collect you right at the door of your hotel, or at the port. -Bring you to a completely different scenery of a typical Catalan village. -A snack and an excursion at the watermill, which definitely has things to show -Followed by a small walk through the forest towards the waterfall. -Fresh air is just the right appetizer, so we will go to have lunch afterwards. Don't miss a chance to enjoy the meal at a real witch town!
