Join me on a trip to one of Europe's best birding spots. Over 250 species stay or pass thru' here every year. The biggest, fastest and smallest birds you may meet here, White-tailed eagles, Perigine falcons and Goldcrests. Sometimes you get asked questions like 'what's your favourite bird?' well honestly all of them are. Of course there are factors that may affect the number of birds we can see such as: weather, time of day and season.
1hr drive from Gdansk -we reach the mouth of the river Nogat which flows into the Vistula Lagoon -This is home to a large population of white -tailed eagles which mainly feed on fish - Then travel along the banks of the slow flowing delta rivers to a forest which is great for spotting woodpeckers and many other types like finches -After we take Lake Druso said to be one of the best birding spots in Europe -Due to the nature of this trip and the limited time available we will spend most of the time slowly cruising along empty roads unless you want to get out and focus on more sedentary birding but that may mean we will not cover all in the offer -Then back to base Difficult to put a fixed time for each stage, we could be swamped with possibilities at the first stop and not want to go further , speaking from experience.
