Hello Dear Travellers! My name is Ania (Anna) and I would like to invite you to visit the city of Gdansk with me. I love history (especially medieval and 20-cenutary) culture and art. I have lived, studied and worked abroad so I am multilingual. I speak English (I studied in English and had an office job in the UK), Spanish (I graduated in Spanish Philology, I did my internship in Spain and performed field research in South America), Dutch (I lived and studied there) and a bit of Japanese (I studied it in the UK and Japan). I am an English, Spanish and Dutch speaking tour guide working in Tri- City (Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia). I love guiding people from over the world especially in small groups. Napoleon called Gdansk "a key to everything". Here in 1980 after a large strike a Solidarity Trade Union starter with a leader Lech Walesa. The place is both special for people who enjoy art, history and unique architecture. I am happy to tailor your tour to your requirements. I am also available for group bookings and private tours. Hope to see you soon in Gdansk, Poland! I am a certified guide for: *Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot *the European Solidarity Center in Gdansk *the Emigration Museum in Gdynia *the Stutthof Concentration Camp I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

This is best way to get to know the character, history and atmosphere of Gdansk, a unique city with a spirit all its own. This is an ideal city for walking tours, because most of the most notable sites are close to one another. Let your curiosity run wild you as you stroll along the city streets and come to a new appreciation of this destination. In a short period of time you'll get a complete picture of the city.
We will start with The Upland Gate - the 16th century entrance to the Old Town of Gdansk. On our way we will see The Torture House and The Prison Tower - currently the Museum of Amber. Next we will enter Long Street and the Long Market and admire the most magnificent sights like: Artus Court a medieval meeting place for rich merchants, a symbol of Gdansk - The Neptune Fountain, The Golden House and The Green Gate. Here we will drop into one of the amber workshops to see a brief display of amber polishing also called „the gold of the Baltic Sea". We will also learn how to recognize fake amber. Here the official Royal Route in Gdansk ends but we will walk further to see the banks of the Motlawa River and the medieval Crane. We will walk on the most picturesque street in Gdansk - Mariacka Street which will lead us to the biggest gothic brick church in the world - St. Mary's church. Here we will see many interesting pieces of historical art. We will finish our trip at the richly decorated Great Armory.
