Hello travelers! Like you, for many years I have traveled the world in various ways. During my trips, I always tried to guide the vision of conscious traveling. Establish contacts with local guides and support local communities. That's why I would like to introduce you to my little world in which I grew up. One of the guiding thoughts that guide me when I travel is the passion for what I do. I link a few passions: to travel, history and active leisure. For three years I have been running local tours of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia and the surrounding area. Together with a group of friends, we have created an initiative associating local guides Poland By Locals. We go beyond the usual routes and we create new travel experiences. In addition to active forms of sightseeing, like cycling and canoeing. I run theme tours related to Gdańsk brewing and Polish cuisine. I also specialize in the history of the Second World War and the communist era in Poland. I also conduct trips to the Malbork Castle and beautiful areas of Kashubia. I show my guest both well-known corners of the city as well as those outside the beaten trails. I present how the life of local communities looks like, I talk about our traditions, lifestyle and show places that you can not always reach by yourself. I will always be happy to help you create a personalized trip around Poland and our region. Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot are three cities that together make up the wonderful agglomeration of the Tri-City. Each of these cities is different. Gdańsk is famous for its beautiful monuments and over a thousand years of history. Sopot is the most beautiful Polish summer resort with the longest wooden pier in Europe and beautiful beaches, and Gdynia is a modern port, combining modernism with the beauty of nature. Is it possible to see it all? I invite you to my favorite local adventure to get to know all the faces of the Tri-City. I was born in Gdańsk, lived and played in Sopot during my studies. I also ran a pub in Sopot for 5 years. Now I live with my family in Gdynia. Do I know everything about Tri-City? Almost and I will show you how wonderful it is to live here and how amazing these three cities are.
Great tour of an area we knew very little about,
Sebastian was a wonderful guide. Gdansk was the favorite stop we made on our cruise. He was very accommodating to our group as we are slow walkers. We walked through the beautiful Old Town. We shopped for amber jewelry. We visited Gdansk Shipyard and heard about Lech Walesa and the Solidarity Movement. We visited Sopot and had a lovely lunch. We highly recommend Sebastian’s tours!
Sebastian gave the three of us a fantastic tour and history lesson. We knew nothing about Gdansk, except for the images of Lech Wałęsa from the 1980s. Boy - were we in for a good time! Sebastian picked us up from the ferry docks and immediately we were taught about Gdansk's second world war history. Then he took us to the Old Town to view the magnificent reconstructions, and to learn about how the city fared under Soviet control. Then to the dockyards to be shown the site where the Soviets ceded to the Union's demands. Sebastian had facts, stories and anecdotes all ready for us, paced so that we never felt too overwhelmed. He finished the tour with a visit to the resort town of Sopot for a good lunch and a walk on the pier. We finished with a quick tour of Gdynia, and a drive back to our hotel. Sebastian gave us a wonderful day. Highly recommended.
We loved our day with Sebastian. Sopot was a beautiful resort town with sandy beaches and a wooden pier which was worth the walk out to the end. The homes and flowers were beautiful as we wandered through a beautiful garden and the town. We drove to a tower and climbed to the top and had a magnificent view of the tri-city area. In Gdansk, Sebastian took us to a church to hear an organ concert, through the town, the town center, wonderful local lunch location, churches, waterfront, and much more. we ended with a local pastry and the naval yard. That was jut a few highlights out of a full day with a wonderful guide. Look no farther and contact Sebastian.
This was the best tour ever. Sebastian was amazing. Through chit chat and listening to us talk in the car he gleaned our interests and personalized the tour to us. We are hikers, bikers and nature lovers as well as history. He took us through the woods to a watch tower in Gdynia, amazing. In Gdańsk the pipe organ concert at St Mary’s from 1346 was absolutely chilling. The discrimination of Gdańsk during the war was total. The rebuilding is incredible. St Bridget’s amber alter is a spiritual experience. We were very intrigued by amber and so he took us to a jeweler that made pieces in front of us, how could we resist buying. Sebastian’s knowledge was astounding. He took us to Sopot to walk in the Baltic Sea. Our group has a thing for as local as possible so he took us to a grocery store where everything is made in Poland. He also offers bike tours across Poland.
This was my third tour with Sebastian, and it was truly outstanding. The tri-city region of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot came to life through the unfolding of the unique histories, culture, people, architecture, food, and atmosphere; expertly organized and presented by Sebastian. This was truly a 12 star plus tour, led by a professional of the highest level. I have been traveling to Poland for over forty years and can honestly say that Sebastian has been the BEST and most outstanding guide. Thank you Sebastian for true Polish hospitality. Serdeczne Dziekuje. Christopher Haponik
