Hello, my name is Izabella. I am a professional guide in Gdańsk - Sopot - Gdynia (Tri-city), Pomerania Province, the Malbork Castle, Gdansk Museums, Stutthof Concentration Camp. Since 1997 I have been working as a tour leader. I have led Polish groups in Asian and north African countries. I have learned about history, traditions, religions and cultures of those countries. In 2008 I passed exams and was given a certified licence as a city guide in Gdańsk - Sopot - Gdynia (Tri-city). Since then I have specialized in Tri- city and Pomerania Province. I did my post-gradutate studies of Gdańsk History at the University of Gdańsk. My licences, certificates, and diplomas allow me to guide groups inside different institutions, buildings and museums. Gdańsk is a very unique city, full of history, culture and a unique atmosphere. Bustling economy and new investments encourage people to visit it. The city is located along the Gdańsk Bay together with Sopot and Gdynia and has a special microclimate created by the surrounding forest and moraine hills. The Tri-city beaches are one of the few places in the world where you can find amber after storm. The only true guide is the heart, therefore I will be your passionate tour guide in Gdańsk. My flat looks like a well -stocked library. I read a lot of books. I love cycling, and diving in the Baltic Sea exploring shipwrecks, or sailing on the Gdańsk Bay with friends. In winter time I go skiing or I lead groups in other countries. I am a sociable, spontaneous, cheerful, and flexible person. I adapt to the groups' expectations. I like to work both with children and adults, with groups and individual tourists. I always come prepared and my goal is to meet the expectations of my clients. Thanks to many trips abroad and knowledge of many cultures I am an open person and tolerant to all religions and races. - Licensed tour guide in Tri-City (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia) - Licensed tour guide in Pomerania (Pomorze, Pomeranian Voivodeship) - Licensed tour guide in European Solidarity Centre - Licensed tour guide in Emmigration Museum in Gdynia - Licensed tour guide in Malbork Castle - Licensed tour guide in Stutthof Concentration Camp - Licensed tour guide in Warminsko - Mazurskie (Elblag Canal, Frombork, Wolf's Lair, Olsztyn Castle, Mazuria Lakes) - Licensed tour guide in the Gdansk Museum (Main City Hall, Artus Court, Polish Post Office, Amber Museum, Uphagen House, Westerplatte outpost nr 1) - Licensed tour guide in the Second World War Museum in Gdansk.

Overview of your Gdansk tour

When the Polish kings arrived in Gdansk, they entered the city by the Royal Route. It was the most representative part of the city. There are 2 streets, namely, Długa Street and Długi Targ. There were the houses of the richest citizens of Gdansk along Długa Street. Among the most important families in Gdańsk's history were: The Uphagen, Ferber, and Czirenberg Families. In the very heart of Gdansk - in Długi Targ (Long Market) - the Main City Hall is located - it was the seat of the municipal government, the Artus Court, the Neptun Fountain and the Royal Houses. The Water Gates guarded access to the city at quayside (wharf). Among them the Harbour Crane is situated. We will pass close to the Granary Island and the Lead Island the former port. We pass the Mariacka Gate and we can admire the most beautiful street - Mariacka. I like showing around Gdańsk, here you can feel like in the 17th century. Charming streets, beautiful architecture, unique gothic brick - all this gives an unforgettable experience.

Izabella was fantastic. We started with a history of the city and that set the tone for our morning. She is a guide with an obvious love and pride for her city. It is described as an express tour but we did not feel rushed at all. She answered all of our questions and even found time to take us to a local off the tourist route bakery to buy some paczeki. Thanks so much Izabella.

Izabella is a fun, knowledgeable tour guide who knows Gdansk and Polish history very well. She immediately understood our specific interests and catered the tour accordingly. We need were hungry for a local snack, she found a perfect place to stop and enjoy coffee sitting together. Her tour is so much more than reciting local knowledge - it was like being with a new friend who is proud to show off her country.
