Overview of your Gdansk tour

The historic Shipyards located only a stone's throw away from Central Station. You can't miss the impressive, European Solidarity Centre, the rusty looking construction resembles the hull of a ship, an architectural gem. Inside , the centre houses an interactive exhibition covering two of six floors that tells the story of living and political conditions behind the Iron Curtain in chronological order from the Stalinist era to the signing of the August Agreement in 1980 , which set a process in motion resulting in democratic elections in 1989 that led to greater events such as the coming down of the Berlin Wall, and the end of Communism in Eastern Europe. The tour also includes going to the viewing platform for a panoramic view of the Shipyards, the river Vistula and the city of Gdansk and surrounding areas. Who knows, we may even bump into Lech Walesa himself, who has an office here and is still going strong and actively involved in politics. Tickets are not included in price of tour and cost an extra 5 e
