Hello, welcome to my tourgide profile. I am a licenced tourguide in Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia area (also known as Tricity) and Stutthof Museum. I started working as tourguide in 2002 and it becomed to by my passion and main activity. Since then, I have guided over a 1000 of groups. Big part of my tourists are those visiting our cities on cruise ships. I offer all kind of tours - individual, group tours, on foot, by car or by bus for bigger groups. I do also reccomend bike and kayak tours for more adventure expirience. I will help you with finding accomodation and planning your visit in Tricity and Poland. I am interested in history, politics, computers, programming and photography. I have finished the University of Gdańsk (Masters degree in 2003 and PhD studies in 2006). Gdańsk is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. This tour is planned to show you the most interesting parts of the city. We'll travel by car and see this locations on the way: - The main town district - were we go for a walking tour- about 2 hours long walk at the historical center. We see old streets and monuments, beautiful riverside part of the city and enter the St. Mary's church. - European Solidarity Center - we stop by the Solidarity Square and we learn the history of the downfall of comunism in Poland. We enter the Solidarity Center building for a short sightseeing and we take an elevator to see the view of the city from the viewpoint on the top. - Nowy Port - view to Westerplatte peninsula - it is a place where was the first battle of the World War II, so a place worth seeing. We stop by the lighthouse from 1894 where in 1939 was a German machine gun station. - Oliwa - organ music concert at the cathedral and the park
- The main town district - +-2 hours stroll through the historical center with its old streets, main monuments and its riverside. Visit to St. Mary's church. (possible view point on top of the tower). - European Solidarity Center, we learn the history of the downfall of communism in Poland. Visit to the square and indoor to the building, where we can take an elevator for a great panorama. - Nowy Port - an entrance to the harbour vith a view to Westerplatte peninsula: where the World War II started and an old lighthouse from 1894, a copy of a lighthouse from Cleveland (in summer with a possible climbing to the viewpoint on top of the building). - Oliwa - organ music concert at the cathedral and the park.
