The Second Free City Gdansk - city state established according to the provisions of Versail's Treaty after the First World War was very important place for many European countries. The Germans felt humiliated by the provisions of the Treaty and Gdansk became the place of interest fighting of many countries and also intelligence agencies. Westerplatte Peninsula, which from the end of the 18th century was the part of the fortifications of the Prussian army and the base of the Napoleonic soldiers, was also a holiday resort and became the place given to Poland by the decision of the League of Nations in 1925. One of the English lords said that if a war started, it would start in Gdansk on Westerplatte. Explore this important place and interesting Museum of the Second World War with the certificate guide to both places.
