Hi, my name is Kasia. I have 17 years of guiding experience and I am really lucky because guiding is my work and passion at the same time. Expanding my knowledge, meeting people from all over the world and sharing my love to the place is like amazing journey. I was born, grew up and live in The City of Freedom. It was in Gdansk where in 1980, after 18 days of strike, Solidarity was established, which was the first blow of uncertainty for the communist regimes. My home is a walking distance from the biggest Polish river Vistula. During the morning strolls, on one hand as a passionate photographer and person whose childhood was stunk in the atmosphere of port and shipyard, I take hundreds of pictures of the ships coming to Gdansk. On the other, I can watch seagulls flying over Westerplatte peninsula, a strip of land where on the 1st of September 1939 the Schleswig - Holstein's cannon - shots meant the outbreak of the hell on Earth that the WWII was. My personality traits of Slavic woman, reliability, hospitality, sensitivity and open mindedness which stem from my family background, the heritage of Polish originating from the Lviv area (since 1945 in Ukraine), together with my artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, diversity of my work (I am a licensed tour guide, qualified teacher of English, cooperate with different cultural institutions in Gdansk) and my enthusiasm about the area are the factors making my guiding professional and colourful at the same time. The ancient history of The World Capital of Amber that Gdansk is; the turning point in 1980 when the revolutionary movement was established; the vicinity of the summer resort The Pearl of Baltic Sea - Sopot; the sophisticated example of the 1920-ties and 30-ties modernism architecture city - Gdynia give you the chance to experience an unforgettable, unique visit. Watching the marvelous view from one of the view points and delicious meal in one of local restaurants can be the final touch. If you want to familiarize not only with the landmarks of Tricity - Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia, we can visit off the beaten path places or drive to outside the city destinations. I am a licensed tour guide in the Tricity and Pomeranian District (Voivoidship). The visit to Stutthoff Concentration Camp, Hel Peninsula, Kashuby, kayaking tours and many others can be the part of our meeting as well. I use both public and private transport. My tours are flexible and I am happy to customize. I am very much looking forward to meeting you. - Licensed tour guide in Tri-City (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia) - Licensed tour guide in Pomerania (Pomorze, Pomeranian Voivodeship) - Licensed tour guide in European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk - Licensed tour guide in Emmigration Museum in Gdynia - Licensed tour guide in Stutthof Concentration Camp Museum - Licensed tour guide in World War II Museum in Gdansk - List of about 90 countries whose nationals may enter Poland without a visa are published on the page of the ministry of foreign affairs www.msz.gov.pl - Bank holidays when the museums are closed https://www.officeholidays.com/countries/poland/index.php

Overview of your Gdansk tour

The World Capital of Amber, where you will immerse in the over 1000 years old town with the gorgeous buildings, breeze in the port by Motlawa river, Gothic churches, hundreds of amber workshops and cozy places where you can have lunch with gold wasser or machandel. In Gdansk you will visit the biggest. . . come and get to know what is the "biggest in the world" in Gdansk. As I know Gdansk as the back of my hand, during the tour there will be some nice surprises as well. . . . .

Kasia is a joy! We had a wonderful stroll thru the city! We learned about the history of the city and explored the beauty of amber. The resilience of the Gdansk people after the devastation of WWII is truly remarkable. A great introduction to Gdansk from a knowledgeable, lovely person.

Kasia was on time, meeting us at the pier. Drove us to Gdansk. So friendly, easy going and easy to be with. Flexible in what we saw and answered questions because she was so knowledgeable. You know she is constantly reading up and learning as well. I would highy recommend her. Learned so much.

We had a great evening exploring beautiful Gdansk with Kasia. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly proud to share the history and charm of Gdansk. Her English isn’t fully fluent, so at times she had a little difficulty answering some of our more detailed questions… but she always tried her very best, and we truly appreciated her effort and patience. We were running late on the day of our tour, but Kasia greeted us with patience and understanding. She was incredibly flexible, happily adjusting the route and focus of the tour to match what we most wanted to see since we had to cut our time short due to dinner reservations

Kassia was a wonderful, informative guide. We are a family group of 9 and we all learned much about Gdansk. We would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn and see Gdansk.

A perfect introduction to Gdańsk history. The tour included several very detailed presentations (eg. Arthur's Manor was exceptional) within a broader tour covering the city's major historical route and sites. Our guide's stories were interesting and some very funny. History covered the old and more current. We got about 4 hours instead of the 3 quoted which was a nice bonus. Walking pace is comfortable for we mid-50 year olds.
