We start in your Hotel. Huaca Pucllana is the main archaeological site placed in the middle of the city. We visit it and learn all about its famous pyramid complex from the 5th century AD. We'll answer some of the burning questions you may have about these fascinating archaeological remains. Who built them? What was their purpose? Our tour will continue to El Olivar Park, which is one of the most spectacular green spaces in the whole country. You'll see how this green lung is located in an exclusive area of Lima and is surrounding by numerous embassies. In addition, we have a panoramic view around the mansion of the Count of San Isidro, colonial owner of that ex-estate. Then, we'll go to Huaca Huallamarca. When we get to this important archaeological site, which has been declared a place of Peruvian Cultural Heritage, we'll climb to the top of its truncated pyramid. We visit its Site Museum too. End.
Alfredo was a superior guide, very knowledgeable and personable, matching the pace to our energy levels. We paused for photo ops and important historical details along the way. In 4 hours we got an excellent overview of two districts of the city plus a sense of the historical periods and how the various cultures overran each other. Highly recommended!

While we started off late, the tour was so well done and so enjoyable that Alfredo was forgiven! I highly recommend Alfredo as a guide. He gave detailed explanations and conducted the tour at just the right pace. While I enjoyed the temple/ pyramid; I really enjoyed walking through the olive groves and seeing families in the park. We would hire him again!
