Hi, I’m Carlos, an experienced designer turned local guide in Oslo. But I didn’t start guiding to endlessly repeat dates and facts, I did it to actually help travellers feel the city. With a background in UX, service design and storytelling, I design each tour as a human experience: clear, engaging and full of small moments that connect history, culture & daily life. I would even suggest you think of my experiences less as guided tours and more as meaningful walks through Oslo, accompanied by a local who knows how to read people's interests. Why choose me? Because I focus on genuine connections, not scripts. That's why I work exclusively with small groups, adapting my pace and the stories I decide to share, targeted to the people I have in front of me. I strive to mix knowledge with humour, local insight & reflections. After guiding hundreds of travellers from all over the world, I’ve learned that what people remember isn’t just what they see, but how they feel walking through a city. My goal is simple: that Oslo feels less like a destination and more like a shared experience!

I didn’t fall in love with Oslo through monuments or guidebooks, but by living it day after day, strolling though its streets, taking in its silences, and discovering the beauty hidden in its details and contradictions. On this private walking tour, I invite you to experience Oslo the way I see it: a city shaped by nature, social values and a history that is sometimes elegant, sometimes strange, and often quietly surprising. As we walk through the city centre, I’ll also show you historical images showing how Oslo once looked compared to what we see today, adding another layer to the stories I share. This is a relaxed stroll focused on conversation, curiosity and connection, with space to observe, reflect and enjoy. We will move at a relaxed and comfortable pace, with frequent stops along the way. More than a tour, this is a shared experience through beauty, culture and quiet oddities, one story at a time.
The following itinerary is flexible & adaptable to your interests: Our tour will begin by The Royal Palace, where I'll introduce you to Norway’s monarchy, its national identity & cultural values. Afterwards, we'll pass by the historic campus of the University of Oslo, where I'll share stories from WWII, occupation & resistance, brought to life through images & personal narratives. Next, we'll reach the National Theatre, where we'll discuss plays & literature, and I'll share stories behind Oslo’s identity, including the origins of the city’s famous tiger. We'll then see Oslo City Hall, home of the Nobel Peace Prize and a starting point for reflections on peace and ideals. Following that, we'll stop by Oslo Opera House, a modern landmark where art, architecture & nature meet. We'll wrap up our tour at the Oslo Cathedral. Note: As we stroll through the city centre, we’ll also pass other meaningful spots & quiet corners, taking advantage of historical photos to reflect how Oslo changed over time.
