Welcome to Oslo! My name is Marcela and I'm a certified Oslo guide since 2018. I have a bachelor degree in languages and currently work as a Norwegian Society teacher to immigrants and Language teacher at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Norway. I combine those jobs with guiding, which is my true passion as I love meeting new people! Brazilian by birth, I moved to Oslo 15 years ago and I started into the Tourism indutry as a tour leader in the Nordic Countries. I've travelled from the northernmost to the southernmost points of Norway and I will be happy to give you tips and suggestions for your tour. Food, history, museums, music, photography and nature are some of my interests. You can expect a guide full of energy, enthusiasm and warmth if you decide to join my tours.

Join me for a unique experience exploring Oslo both on foot and from the water. We’ll start with a guided walk through the city, where I’ll share its history, hidden gems, and cultural insights that bring Oslo to life. At the end of our walk, I’ll take you to the departure point of the electric boat and make sure you’re all set before continuing the fjord cruise on your own. Your ticket is included in this experience and you can bring your headphone if you would like to listen to the audioguide. You can order a drink or the traditional waffles from the cafe while admiring the Opera House, Akershus Fortress, and the new Munch Museum. This experience combines both historic and modern perspectives, giving you a deeper understanding of how Norway has developed into one of the world’s most prosperous and forward-thinking nations.
The following is my suggested tour itinerary: 1. Meet and greet at your hotel lobby or arrival port. 2. See the Royal Palace, the National Theatre and the Norwegian Parliament. 3. Walk to Oslo's City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is held. (Visit inside if not closed for events, otherwise we will walk around it and I will explain the history while pointing out some interesting details). 4. Passing by a few remaining highlights of the city, shopping malls, pubs and restaurants, we will then visit Oslo's cathedral. 5. Head into Oslo's modern district, where you'll see the city's development into a prosperous and forward thinking capital while we walk up the rooftop of the National Opera and Ballet. 6. Fjord Cruise (Self-Guided) At the end of the walking tour, I’ll take you to the departure point of the electric fjord cruise and make sure you’re ready to board. From here, you’ll continue on your own, enjoying a relaxing boat tour.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
It is a walking tour combined with a self guided 1:30h Oslo fjord cruise. There is an audio guide available (bring your headphones if you would like to listen to it). There is a cafe on board with drinks & light snacks available for purchase.
