Hello travelers! I'm Diana, your Local Oslo Guide, and I would be happy to show you my city. I have been working as a tour guide in Norway and Oslo for over 16 years. I hold a professional degree in tourism and a master's degree in international business. I am a also an Authorized Oslo Guide, and a Certified guide in The National Museum, offering tours in English and Spanish. I am also a pioneer guide in Virtual Tours in Oslo since 2020. Most of the time I have been guiding different tour activities in Oslo. I have spent a good chunk of my life traveling extensively. Apart from my innate passion for travel and tourism, I also highlights my time in certain countries, where I have stayed put for longer periods of time, including Australia, various South American countries, and of course Norway. I get a thrill from showing guests around Norway and I really enjoy getting to know people through their culture, traditions, art, and food. Oslo has changed a lot in recent years and is now one of Europe’s fastest-growing capitals. New places like the Munch Museum and the National Museum show how the city keeps evolving, together with people moving here from all over Norway and abroad. What I love most about Oslo is the balance between city life and nature. You’re in a modern capital, but forests, lakes, rivers, and the fjord are always close by. Let me know your interests and I can customized any tour in Oslo or in the surrounding areas of the city. I will help you discover places off the beaten track. I will also show you some hidden corners in Oslo and fun stories about the city and the locals. Last but not least, I love to take photos of nature, architecture, different seasons and sunsets. All the photos from my published tours are taken by me. I have my own Instagram gallery for showcasing Oslo and Norway for all my followers and clients. I will be happy to take you photos in my favorite spots in the city. Welcome to Oslo! Master of International Business, The University of Sydney - Australia. Bachelors in Administration and Tourism, SEK University - Chile. Authorized Oslo Guide - English, Spanish and Norwegian. Spanish Teacher at a high school level and at The University of Oslo. Certified for guiding in The National Museum in Oslo. Pioneer in Virtual Tours in Oslo with Amazon Explorer. Professional Photographer Certification. I'm an Authorized Oslo Guide and can guide in all museums in Oslo. My tours are either by public transportation, walking, or we can hire a car with driver. It is also possible to use a taxi and that must be paid on the spot. I can arrange longer tours outside Oslo such as in Drøbak, Kistefoss park, Hadeland glassverk or Telemark.

Overview of your Oslo tour

Oslo is full of treasures, and it can be difficult to decide which attractions to choose within a limited time. But with this tour, you have the opportunity to design your own tour! If this is your first time in Oslo, I would recommend starting with an introduction to Oslo, where you'll dive into the heart of the city. You will visit the most important institutional buildings while learning about the culture, history and gastronomy of the country. Travel like a local by using public transportation such as bus, tram or ferry to get to parks, islands and museums. A "hop on & off" tour with public transport is one of the best ways to get around the city. Best of all - it's good for the environment. Select the highlights you wish to see and visit in Oslo from the list below, and I will create your personalized dream tour in Oslo.

This was our first time in Norway and our first day in Oslo. We couldn’t imagine a better way to get oriented and learn about the city and the culture of the country than a walking tour with Diana. Diana was extremely knowledgeable about the city’s history as well as current events, and gladly shared her wealth of information as we walked through some of the obvious highlights, but also some tucked away places that wouldn’t appear on many tours, but that she loves or finds important. Not all tour guides are particularly flexible or willing to depart from the pre-planned tour, but Diana was incredibly accommodating of our preferences and specific interests. It’s clear that Diana loves Oslo and we loved having her share her city with us. If we return to Oslo, we certainly hope she is still giving tours so that we can see everything we couldn’t get to in one day. We would book her again in a heartbeat!

An amazing tour of Oslo. We saw things that we never knew about and got a deeper understanding of of things we thought we knew about. The Munch museum was amazing and we could have gone alone , but we would have missed most of what was important because Diana made the museum come to life with her knowledge of Munch and his paintings. We walked at a good pace and we took a tram to save some time and we saw the city from a great viewpoint, that we would have never known about without Diana. Who would think the library was worth visiting, it was and it is amazing, especially the library of the future! I’m giving 5 stars because that’s all I can give. We loved the tour and felt a little more like a local after the tour! There are definitely lots of treasures to see and Oslo is a very walkable city, especially with a guide like Diana who knows her way around it!

A delightful, fun person to be with. Very knowledgeable, particularly in the National Gallery. We wish we could have spent a few days with her instead of just a few hours.

Diana was enchanting and extremely knowledgeable. She was great about planning things together to maximize our time in Oslo, in getting a rich sense of the city’s and country’s history and taking us to amazing sights like Vigeland Park, the national museum and the best ice cream! She was energetic and personable. Highly recommend her services!

Diana is delightful! She went above and beyond in ensuring that we got to see much of Oslo in an all too limited time. We'd visited Oslo previously, more than 20 years ago, and there is so much more to experience now. The Opera House, the amazing public library, the Munch Museum, the National Museum (which was its own tour; there is so much there). Just being in Oslo was a joy and Diana was a big part of that. She gave us a depth of understanding of everything we saw, which enhanced, immeasurably, our visit to a remarkable gem of a city. Diana's knowledge and personality make her a superb guide!

Your Oslo tour itinerary

You chose the pace of the tour and the time. You can decide to stop at a café or restaurant or drop by a shop. My suggestion for the first 3 hours: * The modern area of Bjørvika (The Oslo Opera House, Deichman Library and the Munch Brygge) * The Renaissance city and the Medieval Akershus Fortress. * The Parliament, the City Hall, Royal Palace and Karl Johan mian street. * I include some World War II sites. The next step is to choose some of these options: * The National Museum - including The Scream painting (closed on Mondays) I am certified guide in this museum. * The Munch Museum (open every day). * Ekeberg Sculpture park with panoramic views and unique sculptures. * Vigeland Sculpture park. * Bygdøy peninsula - Fram museum, Norsk Folkemuseum, Kon-Tiki or/and Maritime museum. * Grunerløkka and the Akerselva riverside walk. * A gastronomical tour. * Visit the Botanical Gardens- a living museum. * A hop on & off tour of the islands with the public ferry. We can visit Hovedøya or Lindøya.
