Hi, I’m Simon! I was born and raised in Oslo, and I’d love to show you around my hometown. I’m in my twenties, and I’m so passionate about the showing this city as the vibrant capital it is. Outside of being a local guide, I work as a freelancer in film production, and I love exploring Oslo’s arts scene. I’m also a very interested in architecture, and find inspiration for my projects in the very diverse districts of the city. In my free time, I enjoy diving into Oslo’s nightlife, where there’s always something exciting happening. I’ve always had a love for storytelling, which is what led me to guiding. As a film enthusiast with a degree in film production, I enjoy showing guests the filming locations of famous Norwegian films and TV shows, while I'm also very well versed in more traditional historical, architectural and lifestyle facts. My tours are designed to offer an insider’s perspective, mixing both history and modern-day Oslo, giving visitors a local's view of the city. Travellers too often explore just the historical city centre, but I’m here to show you why it’s one of the coolest, most vibrant cities around as soon as you visit the surrounding districts too! From the unique blend of classical and modernist architecture to the energy you feel in its bars, museums and local stores, Oslo is a place where every corner offers something special. On my tours, I want you to feel the city’s actual pulse, and I’m happy to take you to hidden gems outside the usual tourist areas. I’d love to help you create a one-of-a-kind, customized experience. Whether you're looking to dive into Oslo’s cultural scene, explore its nightlife, or walk in the footsteps of film history, I’ll make sure your tour reflects what makes this city so unique, and what you enjoy seeing and exploring. Let’s discover Oslo together!

Have you just arrived in Oslo, and want to get your bearings around the city centre? Or are you on a busy schedule, and want to explore the city's most important historical and cultural landmarks in one go? Then this three-hour walking tour of central Oslo fits perfectly for you! In just a few hours, we'll explore the main landmarks, such as the Royal palace and the Opera, while strolling through some of Oslo's most lively and picteresque streets. You'll learn about the history of the city, but also about the current culture, art and lifestyle. Where's the best coffee? How does the public transport work? And where are the best dancefloors? Throughout the tour, I'll let you in on the tips and tricks only a local could know, and I'll make sure you won't miss anything during your stay. So don't be shy, reach out, and become an Oslo local for a day :)

In that case, don't be scared to reach out! This tour is fully customisable, and I'll accomodate for any additional stops or changes in the itinerary. We'll walk through the city centre! The tour is not too physically requiring, but I still recommend good footwear and appropriate clothing - as we Norwegians say: "There's no bad weather, only bad clothes!" The tour is wheelchair accessible, though a couple of stops have limited access.
Egertorget, Oslo, Oslo, Norway
We'll meet at central Egertorget, right in the heart of Oslo! I'll be waiting for you at the entrance to the subway station Stortinget - that's the stairs infront of the restaurant Max. However, I would love to accomodate you and I'm able to start the tour at any of the central hotels or transport hubs in the city!
