Hello everyone! My name is Graciela and I am a tour guide in Oslo since 2011. I am originally from Argentina, where I studied my degree in Tourism and started working as a tour guide. I came to Norway looking for the midnight sun, and I found it! But I also found a Norwegian guy and fell in love with him so I decided to move here. I travelled across the whole country, from North to South, and East to West, through beautiful mountains, fjords, lakes and glaciers and I decided to settle down in Oslo. To me, the best way to visit it is by bike, since it allows to see more in less time, but if you are not ready for that, I can arrange a walking tour and combine it with trams and boats. Book your trip with me and discover an alternative way to visit the city! During my tours you will learn about the local's life and habits, the history, architecture and arts, the green areas and specially the contrast that characterizes Oslo and its inhabitants. Looking forward to meeting you in Oslo. Professional Tourist Guide. Certified Oslo Guide. Degree in Tourism. Specialized in Tourism in Natural and Rural Areas. Physical Education teacher. First aid training. - For most of the tours I offer, you need to be able to ride a bike, anyway, it is possible to walk or use public transportation, if you wish.

Overview of your Oslo tour

Somebody said: "I don't know if Oslo is a city with forests, or a forest with houses". This tour is focused in life the style of Oslo citizens. We'll go by train to Maridalsvannet, a lake at 8km from the centre. Then we will follow the river Aker down into the city in our bikes. On the way we'll see beautiful natural areas and parks. Afterwards the traces of the industrial revolution, and the new transformation of the city. You'll also discover underground art, The food market of Mathallen, the lively neighborhood of Grünerløkka, a self-governed art house, old wooden houses of Damsdredet, the cosmopolitan area of Grønland, and finally the amazing building of the Opera House, surronded by the modern Bjørvika where the new Munch museum is.

Graciela took us to different areas along the river on push bikes. We saw street art and a lot of parks and old buildings repurposed . We learnt about Oslo and saw areas which would have not been possible without her knowledge and biking covered 17 k mostly downhill. She stopped in a fab market and showed us speciality Norwegian foods. A well designed tour!

So this had the potential to be a horrible day. It was a rainy day in Oslo, but Graciela contacted me and asked me what I wanted to do. We decided to go forward with the tour as scheduled. As she said, there is no bad weather, just bad clothing. We had a lovely ride along the Aker River and through various parts of Oslo. Graciela made modifications along the way to accommodate our group. What could have been an awful day turned out to be a great one! Graciela in brought my son's water bottle back to us as he had forgotten it in her bag.

A+ Tour Guide Graciela gave the four of us an incredible overview of Oslo! She met us near our cruise ship with our bikes. From there, we started in the city where she showed us the highlights, old and new. Graciela had a terrific plan, was a wealth of knowledge, and knew the best spots for memorable pics. We had ample opportunity to ask questions and take in the sights. Her itinerary was well organized and very manageable. After our city highlights, we worked our way to the Akers River and the warehouses of the 1800s, and what a beautiful area it was. Damstredet was picturesque with its wooden homes. After following the scenic trail by the river, we returned to the city center, where the very knowledgeable Graciela ended our tour with the uniquely designed Opera House. We were all delighted with this up close look at Odlo.

We had an excellent day with Graciela in Olso and she took us to some very unique parts of Oslo that we would not have seen. The bike ride was very manageable and mostly downhill with the flow of the river. It is a wonderful city and Graciela was a gracious guide. It was a good active tour for our family with 3 teenagers.

Graciela was very professional, flexible and kind to our family. We saw many interesting places (nature, ordinary peoples' neighbourhoods, old factories etc.) and felt safe all the way. Highly recommented!
