Welcome to Oslo! My name is Marcela and I'm a certified Oslo guide since 2018. I have a bachelor degree in languages and currently work as a Norwegian Society teacher to immigrants and Language teacher at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Norway. I combine those jobs with guiding, which is my true passion as I love meeting new people! Brazilian by birth, I moved to Oslo 15 years ago and I started into the Tourism indutry as a tour leader in the Nordic Countries. I've travelled from the northernmost to the southernmost points of Norway and I will be happy to give you tips and suggestions for your tour. Food, history, museums, music, photography and nature are some of my interests. You can expect a guide full of energy, enthusiasm and warmth if you decide to join my tours.

Take a walk through Oslo with me, it's the best way to get to know this beautiful, modern and cosmopolitan capital surrounded by nature. Oslo is also a city where the locals are friendly and where you can find many excellent restaurants, bars and cafes or galleries. I will be happy to recommend you the best ones! Discover Oslo's city center and major attractions, while interacting with the locals, checking out historical buildings, window shopping and seeing the buzz. The city center is where you see Norwegians going back and forth from work, shopping or chilling at a local pub. If you are lucky, maybe you get to see a politician on their way to a meeting at the parliament! We are going to see both historical and modern sites and you will understand how Norway has developed to become one of the world's wealthiest nations, in many ways! Let's go!
The following is my suggested tour itinerary: 1. Meet and greet at your hotel lobby or arrival port. 2. See the Royal Palace, the National Theatre and the Norwegian Parliament. Most of time is walking by while I will provide relevant information and answer your questions . 3. Walk to Oslo's City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is held. Visit inside will be for about 40 minutes. (They close eventually without previous notice, when events are being held. In that case we will walk around it and I will explain the history while pointing out some interesting details). 4. Passing by a few remaining highlights of the city, shopping malls, pubs and restaurants, we will then visit Oslo's cathedral. 5. Walk to the modern part of town, I will show you the city's development, the rich nation that Norway has become while we walk about the rooftop of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. - If you are looking for a customized tour plan, don't hesitate to contact me.
