I am a dedicated Oslo guide, born and grown up in Oslo where I have lived all my life and have been working here as a guide since 2017. I have lived in almost all parts of Oslo, representing the large diversity of social and economic living conditions. I have had a variety of occupations in this city and therefore know how the city looks like from different perspectives. It was therefore quite natural for me to become an Oslo guide, a city I am proud of and would love to present to visitors. I offer some planned tours, but these could be adjusted based on your preferences, and I may also offer fully customized tours. I have as well been working several years as a tour leader in Norway and Scandinavia, and I can therefore offer customized tours from Oslo to different regions in Norway. Oslo can offer a unique combination of historical and cultural attractions of a large city, a variety of good restaurants, and beautiful surroundings. Situated at the end of a long fjord and surrounded by hills and a large forest, and with its many parks, it can offer a variety of opportunities for boat trips, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing and for skiing in the winter time. After visiting museums or other attractions in the city, a 25 minutes tour with the metro takes you to the forest where you can walk or bike for many miles and have a swim. You can even have a sauna and a swim at a beach in the inner city close to the Opera house if you want; the water is clean!

A Multi-Day tour could be customised based on your interests and preferences. It may include travelling along the beautiful southern coast of Norway called «Sørlandet» which is very popular and attractive, especially in the summertime, with charming small towns with wooden houses. You may visit an old stave church, a silver mine, a beautiful baroque church, and find museums presenting the history of the coastal culture and of industry and business life in the region. The region also offers a cuisin based on local seafood and ingredients. If you proceed further west along the coast you will arrive in Stavanger, which is often called the Capital of Oil in Norway. Here you find a museum showing the history of the oil and gas industry. Norway today supplies Europe with about 30% of its gas consumption and is very important for Europe’s energy supply. Nearby Stavanger is where King Harald Fairhair for the first time unified Norway to become a kingdom in 872 AD in a historic battle with ships on the fjord.
Day 1: Oslo-Kragerø (Kongsberg silver mines & museum, stave church, Porselaine factory outlet Day 2: Kragerø-Kristiansand Day 3: Kristiansand-Stavanger Day 4: Norwegian Petroleum Museum, Viking museum, viking village, driving to Bergen Day 5: Tour in Bergen As with every Toursbylocals tour, this tour is of course customisable.
