From there, we’ll drive about 1.5 hours through the countryside to reach Uxmal. Enjoy a two-hour private tour exploring its pyramids, palaces, and intricate carvings while learning about Mayan culture and history. After visiting the ruins, relax and enjoy a traditional Yucatecan lunch at the on-site restaurant before returning to the cruise terminal in time for your departure. Your Merida tour itinerary
9:00 AM — Pickup at Progreso Cruise Terminal I will meet you right at the shuttle terminal in the Port of Progreso. From there, we’ll begin our scenic drive through the Yucatán countryside toward Uxmal. 10:30 AM — Arrival at Uxmal Archaeological Site We’ll arrive at Uxmal, one of the most impressive Mayan cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a 2-hour private guided tour as we explore highlights such as: - The Pyramid of the Magician - The Nunnery Quadrangle - The Governor’s Palace 12:30 PM — Lunch at Uxmal Restaurant After exploring, relax and enjoy a traditional Yucatecan lunch at the on-site restaurant. Try dishes like cochinita pibil, sopa de lima, or panuchos. 1:30 PM — Drive Back to Progreso After lunch, we’ll board the vehicle and begin our return journey. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery as we make our way back to the coast. 3:00 PM — Return to Cruise Terminal We’ll arrive back at the Progreso cruise port in plenty of time for you to reboard your ship.

When your cruise ship arrives at the Port of Progreso, you’ll first need to take the free shuttle provided by the port. The shuttle will take you from the cruise pier to the Progreso shuttle terminal — this ride usually takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the shuttle terminal, I will be waiting for you on the market side. From there, we’ll walk together to the vehicle and begin our journey to Uxmal.
