Hernan was a wonderful tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed the ruins but the highlight was the Cenote, lunch, and drive through the peninsula. We learned so much about the area and would highly recommend him!

Hello, i'am Hernan and i was born and raised in the beautiful city of Merida. During my childhood and youth, joined the boy scouts, played baseball and basketball with some local teams, but also i explored my city with a friend every sunday with our bycicles. After a some months our adventures continued to the outskirts of the city, discovering mayan communities and some cenotes where we got to swimm often. My first job in tourism was in the year 2007 as a driver for a tour company in Cancun city. In the year 2010 i've got my certification as a licensed tour guide. For the next 7 years through this fantastic job i had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from all over the world, and know many states, citys and small communities in this country. Mexico city, Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas, the Yucatan Peninsula and all the mexican caribbean, as well as other countries like Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belice and Cuba. Leading multiday tours as long as 2 months in a row with same group of travelers or multiple different travelers. Small groups as 2 people, but often groups of 18 to 20 people. Many stories, anecdotes and experiences have acummulated ever since. Bycicle tours as long as 2 weeks in the Yucatan Peninsula and in the mountains of Oaxaca, 9 seasons of swimming with whalesharks in the mexican caribbean, , many times snorkeling in the mesoamerican barrier coral reef, photography tours, scuba diving the blue hole in Belice, jumping and swimming in many cenotes, birdwatching, many mayan achaeological sites, camping, kayaking in wetlands of Sian Kaan biosphere reserve, river rafting in Chiapas, two season of monarch butterfly in the state of Mexico, etc etc. My hobbies? This ¨job¨ fullfill very much what i enjoy to do. Definetly i'am a outdoor people, and i can drive with my daughter and sons to the caribbean and enjoy scuba in the reef, bycicle and end up in a bautiful cenote to cool off, birdwatch around my home, but sometimes seat by the beach and enjoy a sunset with family, friends and a cold beer while some pink flamingos flying by is priceless. My tours are different, always beating crowds and heat, discovering hidden gems, meeting extraodinary mayan people that lives in small communities, enjoying home made cooked food, because is through the real native people how we learn their culture, traditions, lenguagge and flavors. My recomendations is always ¨stay off the beaten path¨ P.D. Kiteboarding lessons is next in my checklist

Join me on an unforgettable journey to uncover the secrets behind the rise and fall of Uxmal, a fascinating ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll delve into the reasons behind Uxmal’s extraordinary success, its peak during the Classic Period, and the eventual factors that led to its decline. We will also stop in a beautiful cenote that belongs to a Mayan community, where you'll have the opportunity to experience and swim in this natural ecosystem unique of the Yucatan. Our last stop will be the home of a Mayan family where we will enjoy the flavours of the local cuisine.

Our tour with Hernan was excellent. We indicated what our needs and priorities were, and he delivered on all fronts. Hernan is very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge freely, answering the many questions that we peppered him with. He is very helpful, easy going and warm - totally user friendly. We recommend him very highly!!
Hernan is awesome! He customized the itinerary to our particular interests and we learned so much. He was cheerful, absolutely punctual (I saw him arrive as I was eating breakfast at the hotel restaurant... he got there 10 minutes early and tidied his already immaculate car). He delivered everything promised and more. His English is excellent and he is very knowledgable; he was a charming companion for the day; his vehicle is comfortable and in great condition; and his driving felt very safe. We would happily tour again with Hernan.
Hernan is great. Uxmal was beautiful and fascinating. I thought the cenote might be gross but it was refreshing and fun. And the home cooked meal was just right
Hernan is flexible, reliable, friendly, and informative. So glad we chose this tour. The cenote was especially beautiful, and eating outside in the village was incredibly relaxing.
