Overview of your Merida tour

Admire the intricate stone carvings of Uxmal's Puuc architecture, savor an authentic artisanal cacao drink, and immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of the Kankiriché cenote. Escape the city limits of Mérida for a guided tour in Uxmal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a renowned 8th-century ancient city known for its remarkable stonework and unparalleled Puuc-style symmetry. Afterward, we'll visit the Choco-Story Museum to discover the origins of cacao. Learn about ancient cultivation techniques and the spiritual power of the "food of the gods" long before it achieved its current popularity. We conclude our encounter with the glorious Mayan past with a refreshing swim in a cavern cenote, whose waters maintain a constant and refreshing temperature of 22 to 25 °C (75 °F) year-round. To end the tour, if you wish, we can stop for a typical Yucatecan lunch at one of the region's traditional restaurants and try some of the most authentic local dishes.
