Free-Wheeling Tour for One or Two or Three, from Merida

Ralf gave us an enjoyable day. He noticed that we are interested in local food, so we spent quite a bit of time at a local market. Many of the vendors know him, so they were happy to take the time to share their pride in their products with us. As a long-time resident of the area, Ralf shared lots of information about how it has changed over the years and why it continues to grow. That added an interesting extra dimension to the historical part of the journey to Uxmal. We enjoyed our day with Ralf and we definitely recommend him, especially if you want a trip tailored to your specific interests.

Ralf was awesome. He was friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. We did a "free wheeling" tour with him - in other words, a customized day. We worked out in advance what we wanted to see. As the day progressed, we decided to make some changes and Ralf gladly accommodated. We also made an added stop, at his suggestion, to tour a local bakery that would not have been on any other tour adventure. This helped make our day special. We truly appreciated Ralf's guidance.

We had a wonderful day in Celestun on our free wheeling tour with Ralf. Ralf took care of everything, lining up boat tours (first a gondola tour through the mangroves, then a motor boat tour to see the flamingos) and then a shrimp cocktail and margarita on the beach. He was knowledgeable, responsive and thoughtful. He even brought homemade cookies for us to enjoy on our journey. We would recommend Ralf to anyone, book with him, you won't be sorry!

Ralf picked us up at our Airbnb just off of Paseo de Montejo and our relaxed and customized tour of the area began! Our itinerary included a gorgeous above ground cemetery, relleno negro for breakfast at a local cafe (yum), driving by a hacienda or two, the ruins of Uxmal, a local artist's studio and then a really local cenote, which we had to ourselves for quite some time. Ralf also enoyed sharing with us the local treats and snacks, which added another element to the tour, as well!
