Magical Ruta Puuc

We had a fantastic day with Andrej, not only was he extremely knowledgeable but he made it feel like we were being led by a friend; I wish we could have spent every day of the trip traveling with him! Thank you Andrej! And if you are reading this review, your search is over because you will not find a better guide! From answering our many questions about the archeology and anthropology, to checking to make sure we were doing well with water and food despite the heat, to providing fantastic recommendations for the rest of the time, Andrej made the time fly by and yet be packed at the same time. Andre is an expert (as an archeologist) on Maya antiquity and culture as well as an excellent guide with very good communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish. I would recommend him to anyone who is one of those speakers. He drove in a comfortable vehicle, responsive to requests and or questions. Just a top guide.

We had Andrej for three fantastic tour days, which included all of the most important local Maya ruin sites near and around Merida. He is an excellent guide and we had a wonderful experience with his incredible archaeological knowledge as well as his pleasant attitude and helpful, relaxed demeanor. He took time to get to know each of us personally allowing him to curate certain points of our experience to suit our individual interests. He is extremely caring and engaged. Andrej! Was the best possible guide I could have asked for. This was a very special moment for me and my now fiancé! I messaged Andrej asking if he would be okay taking pictures and finding us a spot for our marriage proposal. From the beginning he said yes and was extremely excited and helped organize everything. His knowledge of the Mayan architectural and culture was extremely insightful. With his background in archeology he was able to explain to us so much about the ruins and the Mayan way of life. He even suggested us several restaurants around town and they were all amazing. He helped make our trip in Mérida very stress free and wonderful. A great tour of Ruta Puuc! Andrej was a great guide, very responsive in all of our communication leading up to the tour. And on the day, he taught us so much about the history of all the sites we visited and was able to answer all of our questions.
