Discover Puuc Route and Uxmal with your local guide-Private Tour

This was the 7th of 8 tours that I did with Raúl. As with all of them, he was puntual, organized and informative. Five archeological site in one day may sound overwhelming, but Raúl made sure that it was not. We arrived early enough to Uxmal that it was not crowded, so we were able to explore and enjoy that extraordinary site to the fullest (and get some terrific photos). But all of the other sites were intriguing as well, and each has unique features that make them essential to explore. Raúl is expert at bringing every site to life and highlighting what you need to know, without bombarding you with too much detail. I obtained a much deeper understanding by visiting all of the sites of the Puuc Route - it is really worth your time. And once again, Raúl had a wonderful suggestion for a lunch stop, with the best sopa de lima of my trip. Superb from start to finish.

Raul was a really exceptional guide. We took the Ruta Puuc tour with him leaving from Merida. He was very communicative beforehand, and also gave us very good recommendations for restaurants and sites in Merida, as he grew up there. He is very personable and knowledgeable and pointed out details of the sites that would have escaped our attention, which helped us understand and appreciate the sites much more. He is well versed in Mayan and Mexican history and answered every question we had. He arrived on time in a nice roomy air conditioned vehicle. We heartily recommend him.

Raul was such a great guide! He has an impressive knowledge of every Mayan site he showed us, and we loved exploring the Puuc route with him. We wrapped up the day with a refreshing swim in a cenote, which was perfect after the heat. We highly recommend Raul and would gladly tour with him again if we return to Mérida.

Was the 2nd tour of 3. I was alone so we just decided what to do for the day. So looking forward to spending another day with such an amazing guide.

Raul was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide. He was flexible: modifying our tour to suit our wishes as the day progressed. He also took us to some places off the beaten path that we could not have otherwise accessed. In summary, he was a great guide!
